Chapter 15.

Ian Pov.

Fuck!

Watching her disappear made me more angry than it should, but for some reason I wanted to go after her and drag her bony ass body back here, until I am done with her and let her go. I turn around to look at Andres, he looks almost white and feels human. I can’t feel his magic anymore. I look around at the people that are humans. Where they sucked out like Andres? Are they former witches?

“You alright?”

He is lying on the ground holding his heart, but he looks up at me and just nods his head. I walk to the next guard I see.

“There were other people with her in that room. Find them and bring them to me. She is much too dangerous to just let go”

He nods at me but before I could tend to my friend I hear someone clear their throats. I close my eyes, take a deep breath and turn towards the council members looking at me.

“We are not done with our conversation” Councilmember Pruneface says.

I smile at her and walk towards them. She smiles victoriously and touches her pearls. We walk to the side but not out of eyesight. My mother follows and soon we are standing all in a circle with a barrier around us to keep the curious ears from eavesdropping.

“So like I said before we were so rudely interrupted by one person just walking away.” Council Member ass-hat says while giving me a side eye.

“We have magic users and humans here. Some are beyond helping but some are pure bloods so I suggest we give them the best help first then the half breeds, then if there is time see if we can do something for the humans”

The other members start to nod their heads, I bite the inside of my cheek to keep from yelling and attacking them.

“I think that is the only way we can help our kind in the best way” another member says while dusting his jacket of some fake dust.

“Then why do we not just send them to a human hospital right away so we don't have to waste time on them at all?” My mother suggest in a voice coated with sugar.

“We can’t let them go! They know too much!” Pruneface says shocked.

Mom just smiles at her calmly and I can feel her manipulation magic linger in the air.

“I will erase all traces of magic and when the human police come they will find the remains and this will no longer be our problem but theirs.”

They look between themselves liking that they would not need to clean this mess up, but just let the humans deal with it. More of mom's magic is pushed into the air, she is getting impatient but keeps calm.

“Alright, then we will go with your plan so make sure to get them all. If there are any stow-aways then it is on your plate”

Mom nods her head.

“Then we have transported the doctors and the guards to Council member Hightower coven where they will go under investigation and mind search”

“Then I will head over there when we have finished here” I announced.

Every eye lands on me.

“No, you have gotten your revenge and your battle. You will now go home and go over the women we have sent you to marry.”

I growl at them, a tiny slither of my magic escaping my control making the air very thick and hard to breathe.

“Council member Gray! Keep yourself in control! You are disgracing yourself” Councilmember Gandalf says angrily.

I feel my mother's influence stroke my shield on my mind and I let it open a little for her to calm me down. I hate having to rely on my mother to keep calm around these pompous ass-holes but I am happy to have her here.

“We are not finished. I will not just bow out now when we have only half finished this mission! I will help with the interrogation and you can not pull me out now!”

“We can do anything we want since the majority of the council agree with me! You showed us today that you are not trustful in dangerous situations! You ran in there like a mad man when you have enough less important magic users at your disposal!”

“You have no heir! We can not risk you dying without having anyone to keep your magical line going!”

“I have siblings that have both produced heirs! My line will not die with me!” I growl.

They all look disgusted by me bringing up my siblings. My twin. She is just as important as me but they just don't see it.

“They are wolves, they will produce wolves. We have no interest in keeping them alive. You have the magical lineage, so you must provide the magical community with an heir. Like they have for the wolf community. They have done their duty to their kind now it is your time”

“There is no evidence that suggests that he will give you a magical heir, he is still half wolf himself”

“We do not need the remaining of his mixed blood” Pruneface spits at mom.

Silence.

The air is getting very electric, we are all on edge. I crack my neck and put up my mask again to charm them.

“I am not stopping now. I will help with the interrogation, but should it lead to another nest like this I will not be in that raid, but I will see this mission to the end and be the one to close this mission. It was promised and I have a blood wow from you to let me finish this.”

“And who knows maybe he will find his mate or a special person in Council member's Hightower's coven. I mean mixing their blood would guarantee a very strong heir.” mom says in her sweetest voice stroking their ego.

I see a smile come on Ass-hat's face, a plan already in the making.

“Alright then we will expect you in her coven before the next full moon”

With these words the barrier around us is disbarred and they disappear, leaving me and mom alone with all this mess to clean up.

“Alright, I will start healing and letting people take their loved ones home. You can start on the humans”

Mom looks at me.

“What?” I ask, worried that she is seeing through my mask.

Mom just keeps looking at me like she is seeing something I am not. I hate when she does that, she is keeping something from me until I understand or figure it out on my own to make me grow as a person.

“Alright you know where you can find me should you feel like you want to tell me” I say and start to walk away.

“Are you going to find her first?” she asks in a very mother-ly voice.

“Who?”

O my god, is she now on the same side as them? Is she going to start pressuring me to find a mate?

“The little firecracker you almost broke the neck of just mere moments ago”

Her face flashes in my mind.

“She is not important now”

My mom lifts her eyebrows.

“I have no obligation to find her myself. I can send someone to find her”

“So you have no need.. to find her yourself?”

Where is she going with this?

“No, she is not important to me”

Mom just gave me another loving look that I couldn’t really read but I just shrugged it off. We walk back to the people together and take our place in the middle. We hover up so everyone can see us.

“Everyone! We need to start evacuating this place so all humans come to this side and talk to me” my mother says proudly and loudly.

“Magic born! I see that there are a lot of families here, so let them come first to me so you can leave. Then I will come to the others and assign what coven can take you and help you with rehabilitation”

As soon as my feet land on the ground I am swarmed with people so I take out my book and start taking down names and covens. I see the guard in the side of my eye that I told to go find the people that were with that girl in a room but there is only one still alive so I make a mark in my book who it it and where he is going.
