Mia Pov. I wake up with a horrible hangover but the feeling of winning the fight was still fresh in my brain, so I dont complain. Much. “So not to be anti-feminist but losing to a girl? How does that feel for your masculinity?” He does not even look at me, his head is c****d to the side and his eyes are closed. “Common, don't be a sore loser! It is all about survival of the fittest in here” “You tried to kill him!” Jade yells at me. My eyes move to her, this is the first time her voice has not been filled with terror, she sounded almost angry. “Ohh common mrs J, we were just playing around” She scoffs and also looks away from me, they are both sitting in their chairs with their heads c****d to the side. “Ohh don't tease me like that. Tell me more. Tell me how your Harley has been a bad girl” She looks at me with a disgusted look. “Well I guess you only had that one blow in you” I look over to Mr Quiet, I want to get into his head. He is interesting. His body is very toned but he is more sneaky strong. If he was wearing a hoodie I would not know but my eyes keep traveling down to his V. No matter how much I throw at him, he just ignores me but there is no anger, pain or annoyance in his face. He is just here but not really. His hair is thick and I itch in my fingers to run them through it. I have had a crush on the guys in my school before but he is just like a s*x on a stick for me. However if I would be put against him then I would kick his ass. Crash! Breaking! I look to the door hoping someone will come through it but the door is closed like always and no sign that someone is coming in here. Silence. “Well I guess there is no one coming to save us” I sigh. “Do you think they have another group like us somewhere in this hell hole?” Jade asks Theo with hope in her voice. “Could be but we can not put our hope in them we need to stick to our hope that when they are done with their experiments then they will just erase our memories and send us off.” “HAHAHAHA!” I laugh out loud at them. “Erase our memories? Are you kidding? They will kill us, I would.” They both look at me and even Mr. Quiet looks at me. “Did all of you grow up in Disneyland? My family's pack has had prisoners before and hate to break it to you but only 2% of them made it out” “Then you were raised by murderers!” Jade screams at me, fear locked in her voice. “And explains your horrible personality.” I just smile at him. “So tell me about your family, did you all dance around in a field and talk about your dreams?” He looks at me like I just slapped him. “I would not tell you about my family even if they were threatening to rip out my tongue if I didn’t.” He spat at me. “I have two moms, I love them both so much…” Jade stared. I move my eyes to her, she sounds sincere. “They found me when I was around 5 and I have never found my real parents” That caught my attention. “I was also found by my mom” She looks at me with so much pain in her face. “My mother found me too” Mr. Quiet says. His voice travels down my spine and I feel myself get wet. I look at him hoping to meet his eyes but he is not looking at me but Jade. Jealousy flares through me. “I was found and raised by a coven” Theo says in a low voice that tells me his answer was only for Jade. Jade looks between us with confused eyes. “So we were all found and no one here knows where they are from?” “Maybe we are from this place and the chicken has come home to roost” That made Zander look at me. Yes, no more Mr for him because he is picking favorites, so can I. Then again back to the problem, the fact that we are all orphans, witches and here makes this a little suspicious. “That can’t be true, we are not from this place. That would mean our parents are here either being tortured or working here!” Jade cries. I scoff. “My mom and dad are home taking care of my younger siblings. I don’t care about blood, I care about the woman that raised me and the man that took me as his own!” They look angry at me. “We are not saying they weigh any less! But have you never wondered about the peoples whose blood you are from?” Theo yells at me. “I choose a long time ago not to wonder about the past where I got my scars. If they really wanted me or any of you then they would have found us. They gave us up for whatever they got in return, money, power or just wanted to get rid of us!” “What do you know? Maybe we were stolen from them! Maybe they were killed! Maybe they did want us!” Jade yells at me with tears streaming down her face. “Let me just tell you this! If i was stolen from my mom then she would rip this world apart to find me” “Then where is she now?” Theo spat at me. Silence. I narrow my eyes at him. “Respecting my wishes. Are you telling me after meeting the people that kidnapped us you would risk your families lives facing them?” I spit at her. Her whole face changes from a sweet crying girl to this monster. “And die trying because my life is way more important than theirs. Just like they have told me my entire life” She is wicked, she is rotten to the core. For a brief moment I actually was buying her little scared and helpless act but now… “Don’t worry as soon as my bonds are loose I will show you how much worth your life is” Crash! The light flicker and go out for a second, my heart fills with hope and excitement. These beds are powered by electricity. If they power down then it will be my opportunity to turn on then and kill every single person here. The light comes back on but flickering. The doorknob starts to rattle and even more hope springs into my heart that something is wrong and this is my time. The door springs open and in walks one of the doctors with a panicked look in her face. She looks around and then looks like she is thinking or something. I am guessing she is mindlinking to someone else. I was always so jealous of the wolves being able to do that. The light flickers again and I puss against the restraints. Then she takes out a controller and pushes a button. The disappointment and anger gripping my heart. The chairs hum to life and I start to thrash around. “If you are leaving us here to die then our lives will be on your conscience” I spit at her. She looks at me, all the panic and fear gone from her face. “And I would feel as bad about that as I feel for the chicken in my lunch sandwich.” She keeps eye contact while pushing the button, a syringe comes from the back of our beds and plunges into our sides.
