CHAPTER FIFTEEN The first few rays of sunlight trickled through the reinforced window in the interrogation room. Dakota stifled a yawn, sitting across the table from Mr. Kramer. Jerry didn't look quite so handsome under the bright lights as he had back in the alley. His eyes were puffy, his lips pale and pressed in a thin line. His fingers tapped rhythmically against the table, his handcuffs rattling. One of his feet was vibrating against the floor as he glanced nervously between the two agents. Dakota sat upright, straight postured, eyes ahead. Marcus slouched with two empty cups in front of him, the lingering odor of coffee wafting through the room thanks to the ventilation system. Marcus made no effort to hide his own yawn, passing a hand over his mouth and staring at the ceiling. D
