I got dressed in my plain black tux that had a matching tie that would go perfectly with Nicole's dress. My mind has been going haywire about Mickey's whereabouts, yet he sent me a message an hour ago letting me know that he was going to be here tonight in time for the event. I felt anger rising in me ever since that last phone call from him and how it ended. I had enough of betrayals in my life and at this point, I do hope that Mickey and my sister will follow this route carefully. I left my room only to walk into Nicole. She wore a simple yet elegant red dress that complimented her body perfectly. Her makeup was on point and made her look even girlier. I looked at her and just whistled seeing how her cheeks turned red making me wink at her. "You look beautiful my love!" "Thank you, you do not look that bad yourself!" "Keep talking love we might end up back in the room!" I said seeing as how she was now a full tomato color from shyness. He handed it to me and just said sorry before he left without me even permitting him to leave. I opened the envelope and found a death certificate and a photo of Natalia's burning gruesome body that was found in the plane crash. My knees felt weak and they gave in from under me leaving me to fall to my knees. Deep down inside I still had some hope left, yet I could not face the truth and now it became a reality. The person I would kill for and live for is dead. I heard some noises outside before my butler assured them that I was in an important meeting leaving me to sigh. I looked at the death certificate to make sure that it was valid, yet to my suprise, there stood no forgeries even close to this certificate. I stood up walking straight towards the bar taking a huge sip of whiskey before I pulled myself together or at least tried to. I threw the envelope on the table and took the picture of her and placed it into my pocket. I called my butler in and saw his facial expression which made me feel worse. "How did you get these?" "Sir, I asked our intel to get them for you!" "I did not f*****g ask you to!" We took our place in by the entrance to greet all the guests who would be coming tonight for the event. Everyone greeted us with smiles, but they only spoke to me rather than with Nicole which I could understand at that point. I walked straight towards the bar to get myself a drink before looking for Nicole I took about four shots before her father walked up to me. The moment she saw me her face lighted up with happiness. "Can I steal this pretty lady from you girls?" I asked as I took her hand in mine. Once they approved I took the microphone and asked that everyone gets a glass of champagne in their hands. The music went softer so that all the attention could be on me which was bad. I hated to be in the spotlight, but when it came to killing I was a pro. "Thank you all for being here tonight! I have been blessed with the most wonderful family and a very special lady!" I said seeing as how she blushed when I mentioned her. "So I want to ask that all of you raise your glass and please bring a glass up here for this wonderful lady!" I said seeing as how the waitress gave her a glass leaving me with enough time to go down on my knees. Nicole turned around and saw me on my knees and that is when tears started to well up in her eyes with gasps filling the room and soft noises. "I have seen hell in these last few months, yet you kept me grounded every single time you showed me how to get up. She looked into my eyes and that warm feeling spread right through my body. What felt like hours turned into seconds once I saw her turning her back on me at the same moment I got taken from my thoughts. "Yes!Yes!" I heard looking up into Nicole's eyes. I got up giving her the ring before the butler announced that everyone can go back to dancing and having fun. I ran towards the back gate only to see her walking towards the gate with speed. "Stop!" I yelled and within a second she came to a halt. "Turn around!" I asked, yet she did not move at all, yet something caught my attention the tattoo that was on her back was the same as... "Natalia?"
