Friends Forever

Here's a poem for you to keep

So when you read it, you'll remember me.

I'm thankful to have a friend like you

To help when I'm feeling blue.

Even though we often have our fights

The love's still there to bring us back fresh and bright.

We may not spend much time together

But it's okay, because that doesn't matter.

You're there for me through thick and thin

Even when we're in the same situation.

I hope that our friendship stays alive

And if it doesn't, I'll surely cry.

I wrote this poem when I was in high school, after my parents moved us away from our friends once again.  This poem is dedicated to my bestfriend LeEtta, who has always been there for me, even after I was moved away from her.  Twenty years later, she is still my bestfriend, and I wouldn't have it any other way!!
