8KATHERINE AND PHIRUN sat in the middle of the boat on one of the long wooden benches with a narrow backrest. Katherine decided that it would be the most stable and therefore the safest place in the boat. She did take an anti-dizziness pill before the trip in case the ride became too bouncy for her. In the past, she had been prone to dizzy spells, even during plane trips. She was not a stranger to sea travels crossing islands in the local boat with outriggers.
