Mr Rodey had been Nana Linda's friend from an activity club and later, when Nana Linda wanted to open a flower store, Mr Rodey came forward with his proposal to deliver fresh flowers to her store. They both profited from it and made good money, which further strengthened their friendship.
Nyea picked up a rose from the bunch and sniffed it, "This smells nice. They will definitely sell well."
"I got you the best roses from my garden!" Mr Rodey patted his chest proudly and declared, "It's Valentine's week after all. I can't give you old flowers, can I?"
He smiled at Nyra and said jokingly, "I'll give you and the old lady an extra rose each on this occasion!"
Nana Linda rolled her eyes, "Who wants a rose from you? Your grandson will come running if you don't come back home on time."
