Chapter 8 - Get Caught

Ashley Lane POV
It was already few days I'd been inside twinny's wolf form. We passed some human village, werewolf village, and even some real wolf pack in the wild.
She hunted for rabbit and fish for our food. It was disgusting in the first place to see how you ripped living animal and ate them alive. But then I got used to it. I had no choice, I didn't control my body anymore. There were once when few wolves, real wolves, chasing us because we passed their territory, and we were into fight, but we managed to escape. That was terrified. We get hurt, but amazingly it heal fast.
" Werewolf can self healing Ashley" Twinny said.
" Wow! Is that why I never get a serious injury?" I asked.
I remembered when I was playing with my basketball team and I crushed on one of the rival player and fell hard. It was hurt, and the medic told that I had a broken rib, but it healed just in few minutes. The medic thought that he was making a mistake when examine me.
" Yes," twinny said shortly.
We kept walking to find Jane's house. Twinny said it was close, just few more miles.
It was early in the morning, the sun was just rising, when we walked into this wood. I can smelled there were village close by. I can smelled foods being cooked and children's were playing. Twinny said we didn't have any other way to Jane's place but to passed the village.
" We can pass it, and no one will know." she said. "We just have to be quite"
So we walked by the very end of the wood by the river, the farthest way from the village to avoid being caught for trespassing.
We almost got in the other side, when 2 men intercepted us.
" You are entering The river Moon Pack with out permission. Show your self!" one of the man with black pants and bare chest said.
" They caught us twinny! What should we do?" I asked her.
" I can't answer them unless they transform to wolf." twinny said.
Twinny tried to bark-howl to let them know we didn't mean harm, just passing thru.
" Shift to your human, and we can speak" the man said again.
" I can't shift back! " I tried to tell them, but it won't come out.
Twinny barked again, but the man seemed didn't understand and raised his gun on us. He looked at us as a threat.
" Show your self, if you came in peace." he said with a hard tone as a warning.
I got panic when I saw he pointed his gun on us. And Twinny started to show her claw and canines and growled. She didn't like to be pointed by gun. And neither did I.
The situation became hot, and the other man shift to wolf.
I was surprised. It was the first time I saw the transformation with my own eyes. It wasn't slow transformation, it was quite fast. His pants was ripped apart.
Was that what happen with me? But it felt hurt a lot. I remembered the pain when it happen.
And then the wolf barked and growled to us. Twinny growled back and they seemed to communicate.
" What did you tell him?" I asked her.
" I told him, we just want to passed their village."
" He insisted us to go with them and I said no." Twinny said.
" What are they going to do?' I asked again
" I don't know, but I told them we are in hurry. ' she explained.
" You have to came with us" the first man say again.
Twinny growled and scratched her claw in the dried leaves on the ground. The wolf growled back to us harshly.
"Twinny, maybe we just follow them..." I suggested her
" We shouldn't. We don't know what kind of pack they are. We have to be caution" Twinny said.
" They seems good people." I said. I didn't know anything about werewolf Pack, but they looked okay to me.
" No, they---" I hearf a gun shot and suddenly I felt sleepy and then it was dark.

" Twinny... Are we death? I think they shot us. " I asked her as I tried to figure out what happen.
" No, they drug us" she said.
I relieved. Good thing they didn't killed us.
I looked around and we were in a kind of room with bars. And we were laying in the floor, with our head down in the floor.
There were few more jails, but they were empty, it was only me.
It was not a luxury at all but at least they didn't put us in a small cage.
", Are they put us in jail? How could them?" I askedmy twinny
" Because they don't know us, and we don't have a pack."
" How long have we been here?" I asked
" Quite long. I woke up few hours ago. " she answered.
And then a man with blue Jeans came into the room. We raised our head looking at the man.
He was about late 20 or maybe early thirty, with a bit curly brown hair and square face.
" Hi, I'm Ben, Beta from River Moon Pack. Our Alpha is not here right now, so if you have something to say you can speak to me." he said as he squad down from outside the bars.
Twinny whimpered react to him.
" Who is the Alpha he is talking about?" I asked Twinny.
" Alpha is the highest command in a werewolf or wolf world. And this man, his Beta is the second in command. "Twinny explained.
So this Ben was one of the authority in this Pack.
" Our sentinel said you are tressing our territory without permission. And you don't want to change shift. It's been few hours and you stay in your wolf form, why? What are you hiding from us?" he asked curiously.
" Because I don't know how to shift back, that's why! "I shouted. But it was useless, he still can't heard me, only whimper came out from Twinny.
Twinny didn't interest to talk to him, because it was useless, he would not understand us. Plus we were hungry and tired.
It wasn't easy to live outside in the wild, in the places we didn't know well and found our own food. Twinny didn't train well to hunt for food. He catched few rabbit and fish, but that's all.
" All right, if you don't want to shift now. This is a blanket, if you change your mind." he said as he sign to one of a man behind him to put it in the bed inside the bars.
He open the bars lock and put the blanket on the bed.
" Since you are in wolf form, we give you food for your wolf form." he said when other man came with a bowl of meat for dogs.
" Eww, do you have something else? Burger maybe?" I protested.
But Twinny didn't care and she ate that right away.
" You look starving, how many days you haven't eat? " he asked, but only whimperef came out of Twinny.
" Okay, we'll have pizza coming for diner if you want to shift " he said smiling, teasing us.
" Oh, I'd love that! Please please give us that" I said imagining warm pizza with pepperoni and cheese and melting mozzarella. I sweared they looked very delicious right now. I was dying for that right now!
I can't remembered how many days I'd been in wolf form. 3-4 days maybe, and we must smelled like s**t, because Twinny didn't take us for shower even one.
" Stop grouching. We took a shower on the rain few days ago."
" Oh yeah, if that count as taking a shower." I said with annoyance.
" We are wolf! What kind of shower did you expecting?" she said with tantrum.
" Whatever" I said finally. I know it wasn't her fault, but still a nice warm shower will be nice.
Of course I imagine a warm shower with nice scent of bath soap, but that's not going to happen right now. Just a daydream.
" Okay, enjoy your food. I'll be back later if you change your mind." Ben, the Beta said. And then he left the room.
The next day he came again, asking the same question. And he left without getting any answer from us.
He came again in the afternoon, but this time he shifted to a big brown wolf. And he talked to Twinny. Both of them were barking, howling and growling. And then he left.
" What did he say?" I asked
" He asked why dont we shift back." Twinny explained as she walked slowly in the cell room.
" And?" I asked, waiting for more.
" And I told him, you don't know how." she said.
" What else?" I asked. There must be more than that.
" He asked where we live and from what pack, and I told him we don't belong to any pack. And we were just passing to get to Jane. He know Jane. " Twinny said.
" And what he say?" I asked again.
" Nothing. He left." she said shortly. I sighed.
I hoped there is something we can do.
