She wouldn’t have her lunch and just turned and left the canteen.
The most miserable guy was d**k Jones. For a moment, he couldn’t believe his ears. It was not until he saw Marlow follow Scarlett out of the canteen, did he realize that that b*tch had fired him because of that boy. He was a shareholder of the company and she did this to him?! No, he wouldn’t leave this company. The problem was he had already boasted that he would resign. Now it seemed that only Boss could save him.
In a panic, he fled out of the canteen embarrassedly and behind him was roars of laughter.
“Do you have to make so many troubles for me? Look, you’ve offended a number of people within one hour after you came to work. What do you really want?”
When they were alone in her office, Scarlett threw off her mask and started to roar at Marlow.
Marlow pulled a wry face and said, “I don’t know why I am so unlucky today. It’s all misunderstanding. Compared to you, that woman is rubbish. Just think about it. I already have you, why would l harass other women?”
Even the most beautiful woman in the world likes others to praise her beauty.
Scarlett didn’t show any change of expression on her face, but she felt much better inside.
“Stop sweet-talking me. Tell me the truth, what did you do to Yolanda?”
“I did nothing. It’s just an automatic reaction to my body. I didn’t wish for it either.” Marlow of course wouldn’t reveal that he had teased Yolanda, even though Scarlett said she didn’t love him all the time.
In order to put the subject aside, Marlow complained, “I told you I didn’t want to work and you had to make me work here. As people say, there is a kept man behind every successful woman. Let me stay home and be a househusband for you, okay?”
“No! Why don’t you have any ambition? Are you a man or not? …”
“Yes, a genuine man. Do you want to examine it? It’s probably not so convenient to do it here.”
“Marlow!”
“What?”
“…”
Scarlett’s lungs nearly burst with rage.
She waved her hand to signal Marlow to get out. If he stayed for five more minutes, she would either die of anger or kill him.
“Then I can go home now?” Marlow ventured.
“No, stay in the outer room!” Scarlett shouted.
Her office was big and had one inner room and one outer room.
“Okay,” Marlow didn’t argue with her and went out. The outer room suited him as he could smoke there. But as soon as he lit a cigarette, Yolanda pushed the door open and came in.
“You are here?” Finding Marlow there, Yolanda’s beautiful eyes were burning with fury.
“Hey, beauty, nice to see you again.” Marlow greeted her cheerfully as if he didn’t detect the rage on her face.
“Bad luck to see you again!” Yolanda squeezed the words from between her teeth. “Don’t be so smug. Wait for Ms. Murphy to fix you.”
She had regained her confidence after she went back to her office and changed her clothes. She wasn’t somebody like d**k Jones. Her position was far above him. And what Marlow did to her was worse than what he did to d**k.
Office s****l harassment was a dreadful behavior. As long as the president wasn’t a bastard, the offenders would be fired without exception in any company. In serious cases, they might be held responsible legally. So she didn’t believe that Scarlett wouldn’t fire this scum.
That was why he came to Scarlett’s office with full confidence. However, as soon as she walked in, she saw that scum sitting there smoking leisurely.
“Fix me?”
Marlow laughed and looked at Yolanda’s full and elastic breasts which rose and fell as she panted angrily. He was so close to them that they had a strong visual impact on him and he had a desire to feel them.
“Bastard, what are you looking at?”
“Why should you be so tense? I am just sizing them up. They are big but not as spectacular as that of the secretary outside. Don’t be a bag of nerves,” replied Marlow languidly.
Women are hard to please. If you say their breasts are big and elastic, they will get angry and call you names. But if you say their sizes are not attractive, they will probably kill you.
Yolanda was hopping mad at his words. She said nothing but just lifted her foot and kicked at Marlow’s crotch.
Of course she wasn’t a rival of Marlow. He moved his legs closer and clamped her leg when it was above his knee’s height. She couldn’t move at all. Then Marlow pushed her back and she bumped into the wall.
“Bastard!” Yolanda wouldn’t surrender and she lifted her hand to slap Marlow.
“Can you change a word? I had a wider vocabulary of names than you do when I was three years old. By the way, don’t be so aggressive. No man likes a woman being too aggressive.”
“Let go of me!”
Yolanda was anxious and furious, but her hands were grabbed by Marlow and pressed against the wall. Her leg was fixed as if in a pair of pliers.
As she was desperate, the inner door opened and Scarlett appeared with a grim face.
“Yolanda, come in please.” Her tone was calm and quiet.
After she said that, she ignored Marlow and went back to the room. Yolanda fixed her messy hair and gave Marlow an angry glance, then followed Scarlett in and shut the door behind her.
Marlow sat down to light a cigarette and smiled wryly. He forgot that there was a camera in this room when he was playing a trick on Yolanda. Probably his beautiful wife had seen the whole process in the surveillance system.
Inside the president’s office, Yolanda was relating in detail what had happened in the canteen with an indignant expression. Scarlett’s expression changed subtly as she heard.
She had met a lot of people and could tell what kind of people they were. She knew Marlow wasn’t a nice man, but she thought he wouldn’t have crossed the moral bottom line. Otherwise, she wouldn’t have lived with him.
She was confident that she was above Yolanda in terms of attractiveness. Since that guy could keep the basic principles when he lived with her, though he talked filthily, she didn’t believe that he would lose his mind when he saw Yolanda.
So after she heard Yolanda out, she thought for a while and said, “Yolanda, as a rule, this kind of thing is unforgivable. We should not only fire him but also hold him responsible legally!”
Yolanda kept silent. She wasn’t glad to hear that. Instead, she felt depressed, because she knew this kind of beginning would be followed with a “but”.
“But…”
