Finally when the couple finished talking and Cassandra could not be happier that she was done with the two of them she said very calmly,” This is the first day where all your problems and all your issues between each other have started coming to the fore-front. And I am sure that this is going to get immensely better if you both give me a chance to work with you. So we shall start with twelve sessions in all and then we are going to decide if you have been fully cured or not.”

Both the husband and wife nodded at her and they said that they wanted to see where this went ahead and that is the reason they were going to continue with the therapy.

“I am glad that you think so Mr. and Mrs. Rosario. This is the zero session, so you are not going to be given any activity from my end. Just try and stay as much normal and good as possible for a couple to remain and remember that communication is the key,” said Cassandra and both of them mumbled a non-committal thank you in her direction and left the room.

Even though Cassandra knew she had another appointment for today she wished that the man did not come. But as soon as they were gone Elle called her on the line and said that her next appointment was here. She sighed loudly and said that to give her ten minutes of time and then send him in. She went in to the attached bathroom and then splashed water on her face. She wiped her face with the hand-towel and then looked at herself.

Who was she? And what had she been able to do with her life?

Heaven forbid, she being a counsellor starts doubting herself and her achievements. Whatever might be happening to her she was not going to doubt herself, at least not after creating a life and name for herself. She was not going to squander that away for some dirty little pig. And that is something she needed to deal with right away. She patted and dabbed her face with slight compact and then dabbed on a touch of lipstick to her pink lips and came out of the washroom only to find Robert sitting there waiting for her.

“I asked Elle to send my next patient ten minutes later. Have you forgotten how to see the time or is my assistant and receptionist becoming reluctant in two weeks?” asked Cassandra with a hard stare at the man who had been her college senior and made her life a living hell for two years. He was a sweet man but he was also a jerk and that was something that people seemed to not know about him.

“But I am not your patient am I Cassandra?” asked Robert as her rose to look up at her with a grin on his face making her blood boil. And all those memories came rushing back to her with such hard hit that she almost saw red before her vision. She did not know that she could be still this much angry after all these years but it seems that she had held on to that grudge.

“Yeah, you are not my patient. And thank heavens for that. But you are not anything else either Robert. So why don’t you say what you have to speak and then get the hell out of here?” asked Cassandra in a sweet voice which made the man do a double-take.

“I did not know that such an accomplished therapist would be so vicious. It is like you are just the human form of a wild cat Cassandra. And suits with your name as well, what a nice name would it be for the next Cat-woman?” asked the man who was named Dr. Robert Dastoviwich. And probably having a Russian father was the thing which made him so irresistible to women and so disgusting to Cassandra.

“Then you might know that there is another thing that the cat woman loves to do, don’t you think?” asked Cassandra as she strode forward sexily on her heels with a smile and Robert thought that he might be on the verge of getting kissed by this fierce and beautiful woman here.

But that did not remotely happen. He smiled at her but did not see her hand coming up and then there was a hard sound which reverberated all through out the room and then there was pin-drop silence.

“Wow!! I have been waiting to do that for quite some time. Now that is done Robert, I would suggest you to get on with what you came to say. Moreover, this time it was slap and the next time it would be the real claws of a cat. And you have no idea of the poison that I hold in them. So get started,” said Cassandra as she smiled at him and sat on her chair while Robert smiled back at her as well.

“I did not expect to be assaulted like that by a woman but then again you were always an army brat. Now you have become slightly sophisticated but that violence is still there. But I have come here with an offer Cassandra and I don’t want our past issues to come between us in any manner. Because if there was anyone who was better at acoustics and s****l therapy than me, then it was you and I am never going to put my personal problems in the middle of that so that I can get a better chance at something,” said Robert as he took a seat.

Cassandra wanted to rip out the tongue of this man but then decided that it was better to listen to what he had to say. After all an opportunity like this of research in the field which was usually frowned upon did not come every single day. And she was definitely not someone stupid who would let it slide from her hands.
