I have just had one of the most gruelling training sessions of my life. Coach worked us all so damn hard that I think my arms are going to fall off. I am a specialised batter in our team, which means I’m usually the third one at the crease. Coach had me batting in the nets for three straight hours today! I mean talk about going overboard.
I have been playing in the Big Bash League for quite a number of years now but after my rehab stint, I was finding it difficult to find a contract. The Sydney Thunder finally offered me a position and I know the coach is riding me hard to prove my worth. I don’t mind, I’m happy to show him how grateful I am and work hard for this team.
