Just a few days later, after enough award silences and conversations avoided like the plague, Logan got a call from Ryan. Apparently he sad something important he needed to discuss with us. I was anxious. I had a feeling it was about the case. Logan seemed nervous too. But I think he was just happy for something to finally break the tension around here. I was a pent up mess. My shoulder were in a constant knot. I had no appetite, but everyone was constantly telling me I needed to eat. Logan and my sister both, whenever she was here would just watch me. Like they were waiting for something. It got old, fast.
When Ryan knocked on the front door, Logan was quick to open it.
