We sat on the bench outside the hospital. Both Ray and I sat there for what could have been hours. Both of us staring at the ground. But not seeing a thing. Ryan was standing just a few feet away talking to another detective. It didn't take long for him to get here. Someone calls and says a lady just jumped in front of an 18 wheeler, you take it seriously. When he arrived and saw us he knew this was bad.
"Hey... Uh I would say how are you guys holding up but... I feel like that would be a dumb question. Jesus Christ what the f**k is going on around here? I thought it would be a good idea to move here with Melissa and the kids because I thought it was a safe quiet town." He said. Looking around the area, almost like he was looking for something.
