EPISODE 14- NEW FACES

In the town square, adventurers were already gathered even when the sun hasn't risen. The air was cold as the cold fog still appeared in the air. Carriages that is pulled by a beast known as Tricerwyrms were also present in the area.

A muscular woman wearing full heavy armor and wielding a giant bulova axe was present. She was in the center of the town square. This woman was clearly Ann Marie, she was waiting for the other adventurers to arrive. Next to her was another woman with long straight black hair that reaches her waists, she also had blue eyes. She wore a silver full-body plate armor and carries a two-handed sword.

“Hey Ann Marie, did the guild master found out about the cause of this phenomenon?”

“No, the guild master and the kingdom has sent some of their best men to investigate it. But they weren't able to know who caused this thing to happen, so they are still investigating.”

“Having the Megasaurus sure has made our work cut out for us. Even the kingdom has become unprepared for this sudden awakening.”

“But whoever did this, shall face the wrath of my axe for making me work when I'm on vacation. Lyka don't you feel the same? You were also on vacation when you got called back here to fight this Megasaurus.”

“You still haven't change Ann Marie, yes I am quite disappointed with this.”

As the two adventures were talking, six more people arrived at the square. It was the Camilla adventurer party along with an eight-foot-tall guy. Lyka who was next to Ann Marie pointed her finger to the guy who was wearing a matte black armor with some yellow accents and asked.

“Who is that guy Ann? Is he a newbie adventurer.”

“Oh him! He's the new guy called Mr. Destroyer, but he got the nickname Mr. Scum among the female adventurers. ”

“Mr. Scum?”

“Don't ask me how'd he got that nickname. ”

“Is he strong?”

“Well, he beat me up real bad when I became his examiner when he was getting his license. So I guess his really strong, so don't let his F class rank fool you. As he might be on the same level as you a B class adventurer. ”

“Maybe I would like to test him in the future, if I will be impressed by his performance in this mission.”

This morning I was picked up by these five adventurers in my INN when I woke up. All five of them had excited faces when they came to my INN and even bothered Ms. Sazar in her chores. I even apologized for the rudeness of these party but Ms. Sazar said that it was a nice change of pace that people visited her INN.

Guess Ms. Sazar is quite lonely in the INN in the morning, so it might be a good thing, she actually got to speak with some new people. But these youngsters are rude, they even barge into my room without knocking. I even had to apologize to the nightgown girl again, who has scolded me twice now.

As we arrived at the town square, I saw carriages being pulled by tricerwyrms which resembles a triceratops dinosaur but has some similarities to a dragon, especially their body part. I also saw the adventurers that always hang out in the guild as well as Ann Marie, but I also saw a new face who was next to Ann Marie.

She was quite a beauty, she had long black hair and blue eyes and a white blooming skin. Her figure was perfectly curved which can be noticed even she is wearing full armor. She is definitely a woman that a man would want, the dream girl of some men, but for me, I think she is beautiful but I don't feel anything, because my sense of lust was gone since I came to this world.

I guess I am truly just a machine made to fight, I don't need any rest, food, water, and other things that a common human soldier needs. Upon arriving at the square we were then asked to form a line behind a tricerwyrm carriage. After we were tasked to line up, they then told us to get in the carriage that were lined up with.

As we got in the carriage, I noticed that it was actually my first time riding a form of transportation in this world. As I sat down on the sturdy wooden slab seats of the wooden carriage, I immediately noticed a familiar figure seating next to me.

The black armor and that two-handed broadsword and that idiotic face. No doubt it's David, why do I have to deal with this fool again for an entire 5 hours in this journey.

According to the scouts of the guild, the Megasaurus could arrive tomorrow morning in the Pseudo plains, which is earlier than the original three days. Good thing that the kingdom lent their tricerwyrms as our transportation. If we actually travel there using regular carriages and horses, it would take us about two days to arrive at the Pseudo plains as horses are slower and need to rest from time to time. While tricerwyrms don't need any rest when traveling, they even surpass horses in speed and they could continue to run for two days without any rest or food.

It is quite amazing that these beasts could be an alternative to the horses. But they are quite rare and it takes years to train one as a carriage puller. So they are kept by the royalty, nobles, and the military around the world.

David has already noticed me and has started to become annoying. Which I ignored but two other adventurers who were with us spoke to me. One of them wore a heavy chest plate, trousers, boots, and a giant sword behind him. He had brown hair and a face that underestimates anyone he sees.

“Hey! Yes, you in the armor!”

“What do you want from me?”

What does this punk want with me calling me? I hope it is not something useless as his face annoys me, that I almost wanna punch it.

“We just want to tell you and your buddy there to not get in our way. We cannot afford weaklings to hinder our progress in this mission. F and E class adventurers like you are always a nuisance for us A-class adventurers.”

David didn't like what the man spoke, he also knew that the adventurer was lying about his class so he yelled at the man, “A CLASS ADVENTURERS! WHAT A LIE! EVERYONE KNOWS THAT THERE IS ONLY ONE A CLASS ADVENTURER IN THE TOWN.”

“So you are calling us liars kid, then maybe you wanna have a taste of our power right here right now!? An E class weakling like you wouldn't understand that A-class adventurers sometimes hide their ranks.”

Oh, these guys are very arrogant, I guess I have to save David's ass now even the battle hasn't started so I immediately spoke.

“You have already contradicted yourself by saying those words. ”

“What do ya mean adventurer Scum?”

“My name is Mr. Destroyer and not Scum, I mean you spoke it yourself that A-class adventurers don't have the time to show off their class rank. But you two told us your rank, even though you just called us weakling adventurers. Not only us two but everyone in the carriage heard it, your proclamation of you two being A class. It means you are not A- cla...”

“So what if we told you and everyone here! Your just an F class adventurer with a scary voice and massive size. But on the battlefield and rank, you are just weak as an ant! A weakling like you has no right to speak back to someone stronger than him!”

“How idiotic and useless of you to become an adventurer. I only see in you is a weak pathetic self-proclaimed turd.”

“Watch your mouth weakling!”

He then pulled his broadsword only to be electrocuted by one of the adventurers in the carriage. Which made him go back to his seat, but the adventurer who electrocuted him gathered the attention of the other people in the carriage including me.

The one who electrocuted the man was an old adventurer who seems to be somewhere in his sixties. He had a bald head but had some white hair on the sides. He also had a white beard that reaches his neck, his outfit was composed of a white robe, a blue mantle, leather gloves, trousers, and boots. He also has a necklace around his neck made up of oversized blue jades.

I then saw his adventurer pendant mine was made of copper, on the other hand, his was made of silver and had the symbol of a tiger.

“So that old man is a C+ Adventurer? ”

The old man then spoke after seeing the adventurer who was about to cause a ruckus became quiet. “ You youngsters are getting rowdier as years pass by, I still remember when I was a young adventurer. Wait what did I do again? I already forgot. But you the young man with the broadsword, please do not hate me for doing that, as I am only saving you from death. ”

The man clicked his tongue and spoke back to the old man, “No one cares old man! An F-class adventurer can't kill me especially with a weakling like him!”

“Ugh, such foolish words young man, didn't your parents tell you to listen to the advice of elders, how disappointing is it, that you are the new generation of adventurers.”

As the old man finished talking, he then turned toward my direction and spoke, “As for you the tall young man in the armor.”

“What is it Mr?”

“You're giving off quite a dangerous vibe, says my intuition and experience. Especially that weapon of yours in the back and in your belt.”

Wait! He was able to identify my weapons even though he didn't see it being used. Does this old man know something about these weapons, maybe I might be able to get a clue of about my mission if I ask from this old man. If Ann Marie didn't know that these were weapons before I used it? Then how is he able to identify it as weapons? So I must interrogate him.

“You have become interested in me young lad? Sorry to tell you, but you will not get anything from me. ”

How did the man know what I was thinking!? Don't tell me that man has a mind-reading skill. Xyra can you appraise that old man?

“Negative Sir, the old man seems to be blocking my sensors using some sort of electrical waves.”

“That's not very nice looking at an old man like some sort of p*****t. Sorry to disappoint you but I'm not into that kind of stuff, I have only interest in girls.”

“You're also a dangerous old geezer, so may I know your name? So that I could avoid facing you again next time, also I don't like men I'm also interested in girls to clear your misunderstanding.”

“Haha! I kinda like you, young man. My name is Razor. ”

“So you're the one who is interested in me, I never thought you were such a pedo Mr. Razor for targeting handsome young males such as me.”

“Haha! You make some good jokes young man, but I can't call you handsome as you haven't removed that armor. So we don't know if you truly are young or handsome.”

David suddenly became intrigued and started to ask me. “That's right Mr. Scum…”

Ka-pow! I hit David with my iron fist which causes him to squirt blood again. But it seems he didn't get unconscious, his head must have become hard after being hit by Bella multiple times.

“Its Mr. Destroyer David, don't call me that name.”

“Fine, but I wanna know first what you look like under that helmet! You have never taken off your armor or revealed your face once, so I wanna see it!”

“No you can't, as I feel safer with the armor intact with me. So don't even bother asking me to remove it just so you could see my face.”

“What a bummer!”

“David was it? You should let him be, as there is a saying that a warrior who doesn't want to remove his armor has been through a lot.” Spoke the old man to David.

David then gazed upon me with a strange look. But I didn't care about his gaze, I was more interested with the old man that I met today. I know this old man is hiding something from me that I need to know.
