I was checking this, as I was walking with my new friends. Along with a road that is made up of dirt, there was not a hint of grass in the road meaning it is being maintained by someone. Not only that but also any kind of flora wouldn't be able to survive in this road, especially when it is always run over by carriages and people.

Why are we walking? Well, we tried to ride a carriage that was going to the town. Then I rode one of the carriages, but when the horses tried to move forward they immediately collapsed from my weight.

“Sorry guys for making you walk after that tiring battle.”

“Don't worry about it,” answered Bella to me.

After hearing that it was ok, I immediately started to think about the changes in my status. Wait! that has gone too well for me, I was able to unlock the skill shop this easy. Quite amazing I have to say myself, but if things continue like this, it can only mean that bad luck will strike down hard.

Damn, maybe I should stop from gaining too many easy wins. To stop the stroke of bad luck against me. But I sure got a lot stronger in just a day, let's see how strong did this group got stronger.

I then looked at the guys in front of me which are the same party of adventurers. It was the Camilla Adventurer Party, whose members are Bella, David, Karl, Lucy, and Marcia. Who I met with some misunderstandings in the dungeon.

As I focus my look at the group, Xyra asked me something.

“Would you also like to check their equipment?”

“No need Xyra, I only want to know their status.”

Well, they got stronger, but they did not get the same level up as I have, probably because I killed the boss all by myself and I only shared some of the experience.

An hour passed I was able to see the gates of the town of Leora. There were two guards posted in front of the gate, which became alerted as I got close.

“Halt! "

I then stopped and pointed my finger to myself, clearly saying, “ Was I the one you asked.”

"Yes! you the guy with the big armor."

Crap! Am I in trouble, as the guards went near me and pointed their spear towards me. Which I say would be normal, especially with an oversized body and intimidating look. The guards were even shaking as they point their spears, showing that they were scared of me.

Which I paid them no mind, but I would still follow what they will ask me to do. Guards are equivalent to police officers in this kind of world. So I am willing to abide by their orders, I always hated being in trouble with the authorities.

“Wait! He's with us,” spoke Karl to the guards.

“Sorry kid it's just the normal procedure for any suspicious person.”

“David why don't you assist Mr. Destroyer, he must not know a lot of the procedures. So I suggest you should go and help him, you were also stopped by the guards before you arrived in this town. They even put you in jail, which was very hilarious.” Spoke Bella at David.

“Shut Up! don't worry I will definitely help Destroyer in the procedure without even you guys telling me, HMPH!”

After that, the guards then asked me, “Please come with us sir.”

I and David who accompanied me was then brought to a stone building just near the gate. There was a cell in the building with hay laying down on the cold hard stone floor, which was probably the prisoner's bed. I was then told to seat in a flimsy chair, but when I sat down the chair immediately gave up.

“Sir are you ALRIGHT!?” asked the worried guard as I fell butt first, flattening the chair underneath me.

“Yeah I'm Ok,” I then stood up without the help of any guard. I then spoke to them, “Is it ok if I stood up?”

“A-a-re you sure sir?” he asked with a scared voice.

“Don't worry that's just his voice, his actually a weakling with an intimidating voice.” Spoke David, which I didn't like.

He then looked at me and let out his tongue, “BLEE!”

But what he did was effective, as it caused the guards to calm down. The guards were now talking to me normally. But I still wanted to punch the hell out of David's now smug face.

After a few moments, a guard carrying a crystal ball came from the backdoor of the building. He then asked me to put my hands on the ball. Which made me nervous as I cannot remove my gauntlets.

So I disobeyed their orders and did not remove my gauntlet. The guards then gave me a strange look. Instead of being infuriated because of defying their orders, the guards actually calmly understood that I was confused.

So they explained that I only had to put my hand on the ball even I have my gauntlets on. I then put my right hand on the crystal ball after the guards explained that it was ok to put my hands without removing my gauntlets.

As I put my left hand on the crystal ball, it suddenly started to alternate between the colors of green, red and yellow. After a few moments, the crystal ball emitted the color of green and a transparent floating screen suddenly appeared above the magical ball. It has some writings that I have never seen before, but unexpectedly I was able to read it.

[No criminal records] was written on the transparent screen that appeared above the crystal ball.

“Well your safe now, but we would like to ask for an entrance fee that you have to pay. Please pay it to the building next to us. After paying the necessary amount you will be provided with a temporary town past that will last for a week.”

“If you have an adventurer ID you would be able to get in and out of this town freely if you like. But it seems that you are not an adventurer, most adventurers would immediately show their ID if they were stopped by the gate.” spoke a guard to me.

Well, these guys are actually nice, guess I have to register as an adventurer. Maybe I could ask them for directions.

“Uhm, can I ask where the adventurer guild is located?”

“Whew! I'm still not used to your voice, it's kinda confusing. You sound like a powerful overlord that could easily kill us, even though you're a nice guy who is just starting his first career as an adventurer.”

They totally got both the right and wrong impression of me! Damn it David! I would definitely get my revenge for this insolence! But before that, I should pay the entrance fee and go to the adventurers guild to register.

After being allowed to leave the building I went straight to the next office. Outside of the next building, I saw a sign put above the door and faced the road, which seems to be put in purpose so travelers could easily see it.

David and I went inside the building, upon entering I saw a few people inside. I went straight to the counter where only two people were lined up. While my idiotic companion here beside me sat down on the bench near the entrance of the building.

The people in the line felt my presence as I stood behind them. When they looked at me, I then saw their expression from surprise to scared. Which is expected, but I don't want people to continue getting the wrong impression about me.

So I spoke to the person in front of me, “ Nice weather we're having. "

The person in front of me started to release cold sweat from his forehead and replied to me without looking straight in my eyes.

“ Y-y-yeah!!” he spoke in a scared voice as he trembles in fear.

“Is there a problem good sir!? ”

Instead of replying to my question, the person moved out of his spot and offered it to me. I then realized that he was scared of me. I then tried to speak to him to explain myself. But I was cut off when he spoke first and told me that I can have his spot, he then dashed away from me and left the premises.

I facepalm myself, after thinking how stupid my voice was. I felt my existence is just to scare and give the wrong impressions to the people in this world. As I was grieving about that, I heard the man in the counter yell.

“Next person please!”

I moved forward after seeing that there were no more people lined up in my front. When I got to the counter I saw an old man, which seems to be the one in charge to take care of the people here. I then saw a crystal ball sitting on a miniature table above the desk on his right.

The miniature table had a needle below and seemed to resemble the tip of a quill. The old man then grabbed a wooden tablet with some engravings to it.

“Please put your hand above this tablet sir,” spoke the old fellow as he puts the tablet in my front.

I then put my hand in the tablet as told by the old man. The crystal ball that was next to the old man glowed a golden yellow color, the engravings in my tablet that I was holding also glowed the same golden yellow color. The old fellow then grabbed a piece of blank parchment and put it under the miniature table.

The quill-like needle on the bottom of the miniature table, where the crystal ball was seating, suddenly started to move. It then started to write something on the piece of parchment that the old man put.

After a few seconds, the old man grabbed the parchment and laid it in my front. He then opened one of his drawers where he grabbed a circular object. Upon closer inspection, I was able to determine that it was a piece of wax.

He then grabbed a stamp in his table and laid it above a candle. After a few seconds, the old man put the piece of wax in the bottom part of the parchment. He then forcefully pushed the stamp down to the wax. After a few seconds, the wax was melted and had some engravings engraved into it.

The man then rolled the parchment and asked me for the price.

“That'll be 2 silver coins and 50 copper coins, total 250 Marx. ”

1 copper coin is 1 Marx so 100 copper coins are equivalent to 1 silver coin or 100 Marx, 10 silver is equivalent to 1 gold coin or 1000 Marx, and 5 gold is equivalent to 1 white gold coin or 5000 Marx. Marx is the name of the money being used on this continent.

I gave the old man 1 gold coin which is 1000 Marx, but I only need to pay 250 Marx, so he gave me a change of seven silver coins and fifty copper coins, making my total change 750 Marx.

After receiving the parchment and change, I immediately thought departed the building with David. We then went straight to the adventurers guild to register. The adventurers guild was quite a big one, but David explained that the guild also acts as an INN and a pub.

Which explains its massive size, David and I enter the door of the guild. I was then surprised by what I saw, drunkards sleeping on the floor and people still drinking in the afternoon.

I then saw the Camilla Adventurer Party which was celebrating by having a small feast. David went straight to the party's table and took a seat. Bella then looked at me who was just standing still.

“Mr. Destroyer come and join our celebration! ”

I went towards the group but I remembered something. I was not able to eat or feel hunger, as my body is just a machine that doesn't need food. Even with that I still continued to go to the group who were enjoying themselves.

Bella then offered me a seat, I then looked at it and remembered what happened to the guard's office. I rejected her offer politely, but she insisted, so I came up with a reason to not seat with them.

“Sorry, Bella but I do want to register as an adventurer as soon as possible. I actually don't wanna waste time.”

“That's too bad, I even ordered the best liquor that our guild has. ”

Wait liquor! Are these teenagers even at the right age to drink alcohol? This is very confusing who came from a modern society where alcohol is restricted to teens below 18.

I then looked at Lucy who was pouring himself some booze. I then asked her this question, “Are you old enough to drink that Lucy?”

Lucy who was about to drink the alcohol stopped and looked at me. She then replied, “Yes!”

“How old are you guys!?”

“All of us are sixteen!” replied Bella.

“Wait you're allowed to drink alcohol, in that age.”

Bella scratch his head and explained, “I don't know why you are surprised Mr, but fourteen is the legal age for drinking in this country, and sixteen is the legal age for marriage.”

Guess this really is a medieval base world, I guess I should just go and register as an adventurer. Hold up a minute! I should sell the materials that I collected from the dungeon.

I then searched for the registry and the trading desk of the guild. I then saw a counter where three girls were standing behind, I then walked toward the direction of the counter.

As I arrive at the three girls I spoke, “Excuse me could I trade some materials?”

A beautiful blond girl with some huge knockers, which was being held tightly by her uniform, answered me.

“Absolutely sir! Just present your adventurer card so we can also see if you are fit for a class upgrade, after we appraise the materials you have brought.”

Wow! Look at those jiggle physics, this is really an amazing world! Thank you God! Yes as I was busy looking at the bountiful blessing in front of me, I then realized that I lack one requirement for the guild to trade my materials.

“Wait! Do I have to present an adventurer card before I can trade.”

“Yes sir, if you don't have an adventurers card, then I am afraid that we wouldn't trade the materials that you have. Is there a problem about your card sir.”

“Well, there is, the thing is, I am still not an adventurer.”

“I see, that would be a problem sir.”

Damn! This is troublesome, I should get my adventurers card first before I can trade something. Then I must do that, I then asked the beautiful receptionist.

“Then may I register as an adventurer, like right now?”

The receptionist answered me while leaning forward my direction, which also allowed me to get a glimpse of her two mountain ranges.

“Well, one of our examiners is here, so I think you can. ”

“Then I'll take it miss?”

“Miss Lora, sir.”

“Oh, then please take care of me with your soft boo-... I mean with your soft guidance in this test.”

Lora then gave me a smile and spoke, “Then are you ready sir to take an examination for the card.”

“I was born ready!”

“Then follow me sir, I will bring you to the examiner. She then whispered something to one of the male receptionist in the back.”

Three minutes later….

Lora brought me to a room, no it was more like an arena which was behind the adventurers guild building. Lora then stood behind me and told me these things.

“The examiner will be coming in a few sec…”

As Lora was speaking a figure coming from the hallway entrance on the other side of the arena became visible. When the figure got out of the hallway, I then saw a woman about 7'4 ft tall, wielding a giant Bulova axe.

She was very muscular, that she could probably put bodybuilders to shame, with her oversize biceps, triceps, and abs. Not only that her face is also something you would see normally on a battle hardened warrior on the battlefield. Her blond hair and blue eyes are filled with fierceness, her black breast plate that looked heavy made her even more intimidating.

I then looked at Lora and asked, “Is that the examiner?”

“Yes, are you backing down now, sir?”

“No, I'm just confused if that's a guy or a girl?”

“She's a girl sir.”

The examiner who was a buff woman then yelled to me, “You! Are you sure you wanna take me on!?”

“If I can get my adventurer card then YES!”

“Well too bad for you, I have been dump by my boyfriend just hours ago, and I'm pissed! So I wanted to hit someone or something, I guess you would do. Also just a fair share of warning, you might die if you do not take me on seriously”

She suddenly released a powerful murderous aura, which made Xyra give me a warning board.

“WARNING! EMOTIONALLY HEARTBROKEN!, ALL HER DAMAGE STATS HAS INCREASED BY 50%.”
