EPISODE 22- Z01 ASSASSIN

“Would you like to check your status sir?” asked Xtra to me, which definitely caught my attention now. I just defeated a level 90 monster so I was kinda expecting a big level up.

“Yes please,” I replied to Xyra.

Xyra showed the changes in my status by popping a notification screen in my field of vision.

[Important Notifications!]

Wait, what is this important notification that suddenly appeared? “ Xyra do you know what is this?”

“Those are the notifications that you have ignored, which are highly important. ”

Important notification? Now that I think about it I disregarded most of it during the battle. Also, I noticed my skills especially the passive ones upgraded. But my skill points didn't drop down, how is this possible.

“Because your auto-upgrade skills are activated, it mostly prioritizes your passive skills, sir. If you want to turn it off, you can go to your menu and settings. There you can choose to turn off the auto skill upgrade.” Explained Xyra after reading my thoughts.

Now that I think about it, I mostly ignored my settings not checking what are the possible options I can do. I guess I should start to explore it, let's see settings, there it is. After locating it I immediately opened it using my mind like some sort of cursor.

Let's see auto-upgrade skills, should I actually turn it off, hmm…I guess it would be better if I would manage my skills on my own. So let's turn this function off, now let's go back to the notification.

I then looked at the notifications, which suddenly bombarded my entire vision with notifications. Immediately read all of them and closed the unimportant ones such as the level-up notification. I only left the interesting ones such as new skills and abilities.

My attention was actually caught by a certain notification. Which I read as [ New Armor Unlocked! ] which kinda intrigue me. The game has also different collectibles of destroyer armors, which has their specific skills and abilities. This kinda made me excited after remembering my game in the old world in using a different type of destroyer armor.

It was my original pick when I got into the game ‘Destroyer’. It was called the Destroyer X35, which is lighter than my current body which is the Destroyer MK IV. I kinda miss the first season of the game with my original avatar.

I then clicked the new armor notification, I was kinda excited as I haven't change any other Destroyer armor model since the MK IV came out. After a few moments of the loading screen, I was able to see the new destroyer armor I have unlocked.

“What the hell!?!” I muttered loudly after seeing my new unlocked armor. The armor I saw was completely new to me, I haven't seen the armor in the game even once. I then started to think if it was some kind of a new armor that will be in the future updates of the game.

The armor I was looking at was completely different from the normal destroyer armors I saw. This armor was too thin to be considered as a Destroyer. After questioning the armor I immediately read its details, hoping for a proper explanation of the details regarding this armor.

[ Destroyer ZO1 Assassin: A agile armor that is capable of high-speed stealth attacks. It does not follow the traditional build of a Destroyer armor to allow higher agility and less restrictive movements. This armor excels in the assassination techniques, sabotage, ambush, and intelligence gathering with it's better data collection system. It is also forty percent faster than a normal Destroyer armor, but it is less durable due to the loss of heavy plating.]

“This armor prioritizes agility, speed, and damage...Xyra can I use this armor? ”

“Absolutely sir! You can press the image of that armor and it will automatically be equipped, but your current armor will be removed.”

“I should give this armor a try then, ” I then followed Xyra's instructions and clicked the image of the new armor.

“Eh… nothing happened,” I muttered to myself, but I suddenly saw a notification on my screen. Armor replacement in three…two…one…commence.

My bulky armor then started to gleam with a blue like color. I don't what was going on but it seems to be shrinking down to a smaller size and then started to change its shape. Within seconds the gleaming blue light stopped, I then looked at my arms and noticed a sudden difference in thickness. I also noticed the place where the sword of Sol Invictus appears suddenly disappeared as my body became thinner.

My arms were thinner also my body was the same, but my new color scheme remained. I then went to the mirror which was placed near my bed. While I was walking towards the mirror I noticed a sudden change.

I felt like my body was floating and was easier to move. When I finally got my first glance in the mirror with my new armor, I suddenly had mixed emotions about it. Also I so two katana like swords behind my back, which kinda reminds me of ninjas. This is really weird maybe it is due to me being used to the heavier and bulkier MK IV. This is truly a strange feeling if I were to convey it, it's like driving a heavy truck and suddenly changing into a sports car.

I then attempted to lay down on the bed, my height was still eight feet. The king-size bed was able to accommodate my height but I was worried about my weight.

I slowly laid down to the bed hoping for the best results, “Wait!?! The bed didn't break, this means my body is lighter now, I guess this answers one of my questions.”

“Wait does this armor have a time limit when used!?!” I asked Xyra.

“No, it doesn't have any time limit when being used, it also doesn't consume energy, but it does affect your status.”

“Wait! my status is being affected? Please don't tell me that I lost some skill points or level when equipping this armor.”

“No sir, you haven't lost anything, I guess you should look at it for yourself. Please go to your status and check it there.”

I then did what Xyra told me and went to my status. When I opened it, I was shocked at what I saw.

Wait my HP has dwindled down by almost sixty to seventy percent, by strength also got lower by fifty percent. While my other stats increased dramatically, this relatively intriguing but it does make sense for such stats to surge if those are the skills you need as an assassin.

Now to think about it, this body is more ergonomic than the MK IV. But durability and strength-wise the MK IV is still better than this Z01 Assassin. Hmm, maybe I should try to see what this armor can do before deciding which armor should I stick too primarily. I have already spent most of my time in the MK IV, so experimenting in this armor wouldn't be too bad at all.

Thus, I choose to use the Z01 armor to observe how different it is to the MK IV. But knowing that I unlocked a new armor, I immediately started to think about the possibility of new armors just waiting to be unlocked.

But my curiosity was starting to itch so I immediately asked Xyra, “Hey, are there other armors that I can unlock when I level up?”

“I am not too sure about that sir, but there might be a possibility.”

“I see, but do you have any details in how this armor got unlocked?”

“I think it might be due to you reaching level 50, that's when I notified you about the armor. But this is truly strange I don't have any data about this in my system sir.”

After hearing Xyra's vague answer, I immediately went back to check my notification, where I saw another interesting discovery. Which actually caught me off guard, I was never expecting such equipment to arrive in my hands in this world.

[ Moto GX5: Anti Gravity Motorcycle ]

To think that a motorcycle would exist in a world where magic exists is starting to not match at all. Especially when the motorcycle is too futuristic, and it was not an ordinary motorcycle it was a mobile weapon system.

The motorcycle has two .70 caliber guns mounted in the front, three heat-seeking missiles, and a mine dropper behind. The color of the motorcycle will be base on the color scheme of your armor.

I think I'm gonna have headaches from seeing these new features. It just didn't stop there, as I also unlocked new weapons, but most of them were only compatible with the Z01 model. Which kinda saddens me, the new weapons I got was a 105 mm AP (Armor Piercing), sniper rifle which is only compatible with the Z01 Assassin armor. Even the motorcycle was only compatible with the Z01 Assassin.

I guess I should really stay with this armor if I want to use all of these new goodies. With that, I stayed all night checking all of the new features of the armor upgrading some skills which I neglected too much.

The sun was now rising up and it was time for us to move. I don't know if this new look will surprise the other…

“KIDDO WHAT HAPPENED TO YOU!?!” yelled the old man as he gazes upon my new figure.

“Is there a problem master Ra… WHAT HAPPENED TO YOU MASTER DESTROYER!” yelled the young boy we met last night.

“What's with the noise you are creating this ear…WHAT THE HELL!” yelled Ann Marie with a surprised voice.

A still sleepy Lyka then followed Ann Marie inside our tent and spoke, “What's going on Ann Marie, this place is getting too noisy…Destroyer is it me or did you got a bit thinner...*yawn*…”

After that, I was joined with the familiar Camilla adventurer party, which suddenly had a strange gaze at me.

David went near me and observed me closely, after doing that he immediately spoke, “What did you do Destroyer to become this thin…AHH!” he then strikes me with his sword which I easily dodged.

Not only that but I was able to counter it by pointing my pistol in his head, which could immediately splatter his brains out. I also noticed a sudden change in HUD, now I was able to see David's attack damage and weak points.

The weak point indicator was the one that caught my attention, but after remembering that my current armor was meant for assassination it seemed reasonable to have such an indicator.

Karl looked at me with amazement after seeing my reaction to David's surprise attack he then spoke, “That was amazing Mr. Destroyer to think that you are capable of adapting to that body in a short period of time, I'm starting to think that you are full of surprises.”

“I kinda think you look cuter in your old look mister,” spoke Bella. “I also think that too,” added Lucy.

“But Mr. Destroyer looks cool with that new look, ” spoke Marcia who I think has the first genuine good compliment.

“Well, I think he kinda looked like a malnourished Mr. Destroye… ”

Ka-pow! “Why'd you hit me, Bella, when I was just telling the truth,” spoke David as he covered his bleeding head again. Well I think David got immune to Bella's punch but its nice to see everything back to normal, but I still have to worry about God's punishment.

“Everyone line up to your designated Tricerwyrms!” yelled a hooded man.

I then entered my designated Tricerwyrm carriage, but as I enter the other adventurers look at me differently. There were good stares and some stares of jealousy, but I ignored them all and took my seat.

When the carriage was about to move a man sitting next to me suddenly spoke, he was not any ordinary man as he wore the same hood of the kingdom's scout.

“Destroyer was it? I have a message for you that came directly from the king himself. He wants you to visit the kingdom so he can reward you directly for your efforts in this mission.”

“Wait what?”
