Bullying the bullies

I got up early the next day due to some noises I heard down stairs. When I got there it was mom and dad that were preparing to leave.

"Out again people?" I asked midway down the stairs

"Yes sweetheart. Duty calls. We gotta run. I transferred some money to Kingston for both of you...."

"And some can be over $50,000. Please guys you don't really have to shower us that much" I interrupted dad

"Well if you have more than what you need you can save it. Save for the rainy day" mom said and held my cheeks lovingly.

"I never get that from you mom. Now you're making me jealous" King said from the beginning of the stairs.

"Aww look at you. Come here pumpkin" mom said and he flew down the stairs into mom's embrace. He disengaged from her and wanted to hug dad but someone was in his hands.

"Oh well, I have to hug first. Get the fresh hug and all. When I'm done you can take the rest. And by the way, who were you calling pumpkin mom? Is it this echidna?" I said snuggling more into my dad's bosom.

"You guys haven't grown out of this?" dad asked as Kingston raised his hand. I thought he wanted to hit me so I ran out of dad's hug only to see that he actually wanted to hug dad.

"I actually wanted to hug you both but since " the wicked runs when no one is after them", I get the complete hug" he said mockingly

"You stole my hug. You'll pay for that" I said and dad spoke up amidst laughter

"You both are hilarious. Your mom and I need to leave now sweeties" dad said and Kingston left his embrace.

"I need to get ready for school also. Stay safe mom. Dad, take care" I said and touched mom's forehead with mine, then I did the same with dad. With that they left the house.

"I miss them already. Only heaven knows how long they'll be gone" I said not moving my eyes from the door,then Kingston placed an arm across my shoulder.

"I do too. But let's get ready. You for school and I for work" he said and raised me from the floor.

He dropped me at the door of my bedroom and I went in to shower. As I stepped out of the bathroom, I got a text from Phoebe and one from Syd, both asking me if I'm ready for school yet. I quickly replied no and told them that I'll call when I'm in the school premises.

I wore a black crop top and blue jeans trousers along side a black leather jacket and sneakers. I let my brown hair fall down. I really don't like packing it much then, I picked my bag and went downstairs.

I picked an apple from the fruit basket on the table and ran out. My appetite has been low of recent and I really don't know why.

I got to school and couldn't find my squad. I buried my head in my phone and walked down the hallway, trying to dial Skylar. It was ringing but she was not picking up. I called Phoebe and she said she was with our arithmetic teacher for a few explanations. I asked her if she had contacted Sydney and Skylar.As for Skylar, she said she wanted to get a book from her locker and she has not come back, then Sydney was with her. I asked her if she had tried calking and she said she has, but she is not picking. I immediately smelt a rat.

I decided to use my investigation skills that are still developing into use.

I went to where the lockers are and looked at hers. It was closed and I was about to think that she had gone to meet someone but, I tried opening it and it opened immediately. I know Skylar won't easily leave her locker open. It can be possible that she forgot to lock it but there was a stain of blood on the door of the locker. I touched it and it was fresh although it was kinda congealed. I instantly knew she was in trouble and where are the possible places in a school that any form of oppression takes place?

Toilet and

Backyard

I went to the toilet and listened to the sound of some girls laughing. I entered with the impression that I wanted to pee tho.

"Hey shrimp, whatcha doing here?" one big girl who was obviously the gang leader asked me

"I came to pee and I can't hold..... oh Skylar! What happened to you? Why are you here?" I asked her pretentiously

"Hey you wanna pee or not? You seem like a newbie here" one of the girls stated out

"Yea I am but I need to help my friend and you don't seem like you are willing to help her out. Did you slip and fall Sky?" I asked and crouched down to her level. As I was checking around her body, I whispered that she should run out when I signal her. She asked about me but I know what to do to three miserly girls and I told her not to worry, that I'll be fine. With that I stood up and spoke to the big girl

"Excuse me but were you here when she had the accident? Although I met you all here, you don't seem willing to help her out. You don't have to be so mean. One good turn deserves another" I said and the three girls were coming closer to me which was the plan I had in mind. To clear the door way and she could run out. I put my hand behind me and signalled her to move. Well she did and I was alone with the three bullies.

"Yes back to you three, what was the bullying session about?"

"Oh, the newbie has a hint of what happened. Your" messiah"ship ends here" the skinniest girl among them spoke up and raised her filthy hand to touch my face. Ew, germs.

I caught the hand and twisted it, not to breaking point though but to give her pain for a while. The others stared in shock

"Wow Brittany, someone has stood up to us." the large girl said and I spoke up

"Now listen three of you. If you don't want to be expelled from this prestigious school, you better quit whatever you want to do to me now"

"Nice. And what can you do if we don't? the large girl said coming closer to me

" Ah it's easy. I can easily beat your asses up but the worst thing that will happen is that I have proof that you are bullies and I can show that to the principal without batting an eyelid " I said amidst cleaning my nails and the lady on the verge of releasing her anger on me stopped in her tracks

"Oh no need to be alarmed or doubt what I say at the same time. I move with mini cameras on me so what you wanted to do to me is recorded. So if you will kindly leave the toilet for me to pee, I'll dump the record in the toilet also" I said and bowed slightly, my hands facing the door, gesturing for them to leave. Well they didn't think twice and they left. I entered the toilet and after a few seconds, I flushed the toilet and came out. I had missed first period and came out just in time for the next when I met Phoebe and Skylar in the hallway

"Yo babe. Sky told me what happened. Are you ok?" Phoebe asked me

"Trust your girl. Words do the job" I said with a wink and added

"I told them I moved with mini cameras and got what they were doing on it, so they backed out"

"Gosh are you a genius" Sky asked in wonder
