Making new friends

My name is Howard Eve, a lively teenager in high school and this is my story

I remember when my parents had dropped me off at school for the first time. As busy people, they zoomed off and left me to myself. Well I had to find my way and register my courses myself. Thanks to God that I'm not a shy and scared kitten type.

It wouldn't have been hard for me though but with the assistance of three angels, my first day at school was memorable and easy. Apart from some bullies that baptized me with coffee which I don't wanna talk about.

Moving on to the next day, I got to school and met Phoebe, Sydney and(geez I always forget her name. Always? Nah. I just met them yesterday and I'm prone to forgetting their names actually)

Phoebe is the blonde, tall, blue eyed, flashy looking of the trio, Sydney is a dark American with amazing waves to her black hair, almond shaped eyes and curvy figure. Then the last lady is giving the type that feminine things don't intrigue much and I felt that we might go together a lot. What was her name again?

"Hi Phoebe, you look adorable. Syd, don't think I won't notice that you are wearing contact lens and....."

"Damn your eyes are sharp" Sydney said, simultaneously interrupting me and commenting

"Oh thanks and the last lady on the line, gosh you smell amazing"

"Ahemmm. The name is Skylar. I know you have forgotten that"

Aha! The last lady is named Skylar which sounded weird cuz I've always known it to be a name for guys

We all had the same classes as art students, which was quite relieving. At the end of the last period of the day, two young men entered the class that had just my friends and I, packing our stuff, apart from Phoebe that was buried in the chips she was eating. I was already having a rush of epinephrine.

Safety and defence was the only thing on my mind at the moment

"Hey guys, any idea about the the guys coming our way?" I asked and Skylar looked up

"Oh those are Phoebe's and Sydney's boys" Sky said with a scoff

"I think I see the reason for their lackadaisical attitude to pack up" I said and Skylar looked at me in a helpless manner. I instantly knew she was aware that the boys were coming and had to wait for them too. What are friends for again?

I remembered Phoebe and Syd repeatedly saying Zhane and Benedict and I instantly clicked that these are the two people and they were lovers

"Annyeonghaseyo ladies. Who's the pretty extra?" Zhane asked and Sydney glared at him. She has every right to get jealous and who is interested in her boyfriend anyway? I have better things to do sister!

"She's new here sir and her name is Eve" Phoebe said stuffing chips in Benny's mouth amidst sitting on his lap

"Oh Eve, nice meeting you. Who's your lucky Adam?"Zhane asked again

Must people ask that question really?!

" Ah come on Z. Don't you think its too early for such a question?" Sky asked, raising her head from her phone.

"Oh really sky? Is it because you don't have one?" he replied and pecked Sydney on the lips

Stop! Who is he trying to make jealous again?

"Geez that's slimy" Sky said and I could not stop laughing

"That's just a peck, you don't wanna see the deep side of it" I said and held her shoulder

"Woah ok guys. We've not even introduced ourselves. My name is........"

"Benedict sir, nice meeting you and your friend Zhane also" I said reaching out my hand to him

"Gosh that's scary. How did she know......."

"Your distinguished ladies would not stop repeating your names yesterday and I could guess it's not anymore than you two" I interrupted again

"Smooth" Zhane said and nodded

"Let's head home people, where do you live young Miss?" Benedict asked me

"Ummmmm not so far from here. Hamilton boulevard. Why?"

"Just thought about dropping you off."

"Oh how sweet of you but you don't have to worry much. I'll be fine. I can just walk down or if I'm too lazy to walk, I'll just take a bus" I said and slung my bag on my shoulder

"Come on. Follow us. Don't worry. The boys don't bite" Phoebe said and I obliged

"I brought my bike. I'll just get going" Skylar said and skipped off

We got into Benny's car and got on our way. Zhane, Sydney and I sat at the back while Phoebe sat at the front with Benny. I could sense that Phoebe and Zhane were eagerly waiting for me to alight so they could smooch their lives out which was in no way my business. Who knows if Benedict would park on the way and the two couples would make out in there? After all people of this generation would make out in a church if conditions are favorable. Bleh!

I walked into the house that was super quiet. So quiet that my breath echoed. The servants had been given leave, my busy parents were at work as usual and my elder brother worked at a coffee shop, making me the only living thing to be in the house most times.

I had a quick shower, had a personal training session in the garage and read for a while before I picked my phone and met enough messages to last me for a while, the major culprit being the art squad. That group is so busy that if you drop your phone for just five minutes, you can meet two hundred and fifty messages tops.

I haven't said anything in the group so I just dropped a "hi" and waited for the erotic part of these people to surface. How'd I know that? Gee I wonder

Everyone has this corrupt side to them I can agree but revealing it someone you just met or letting someone know that side of you for the first time is really repulsive. I thought I had that idea alone until the group started buzzing with multiple tongue lashing on the young man with shallow thinking, which included Skylar who was the angriest.

I had to calm her down in her DM because with the way things were going she could send him a bomb via texting and it would explode in his face wherever he was
