Chapter Seven Rigger attached the leash to Wolf’s collar, and the puppy lunged for the front door, knowing it was time for his morning walk. “Hang on, pal.” Rigger let go of the leash and went to the hall closet. “You’ve got your coat on, but I don’t have mine yet.” The puppy ran from the front door to the closet, then sat yipping at Rigger’s feet. When the closet door opened, the dog rushed inside but came out right away, then ran back to the front door. “Don’t you know there’s a blizzard out there?” Rigger put on his heavy overcoat, tied a wool scarf around his neck, then pulled a black stocking cap down over his ears.
