She stood in her room, holding the bracelet Alex gave her, wondering if he would understand if and when a mate bond was tethered. Though neither of them would bring up their species, she knew full well he was aware of her kind and eventually she would want to ask him about his own since she could only speculate about his. Frankly, she never thought she would meet one in her life.
“Oh Alex,” she sighed, “you truly thought everything through.” It was no doubt she knew he would give her the space if she met her mate after midnight. He wanted to give her a choice and did not want to be a hindrance, himself. She thought about sending him a text knowing he was definitely off of work by now, but thought better of it.
