"Why the long face huh?" A very amused Ava sticks her head out of her car.
"It's you?" Natalie looks at her best friend surprised.
"Yes the one and only." Ava chirps.
"Were you expecting somebody else?" Ava wiggles her eyebrows at her.
"No. well...yes. Kind of." Natalie takes a few steps and stands in the middle of their street. She looks up and down the street but there is no sign of the person she has been waiting for. The one she really wanted to see. Disappointment is slowly creeping up on her. It's a few minutes past her usual start off time and she wonders why he is not here yet.
"Where is he?" She looks at her watch again. If they don't start off now, they will definitely be late.
Her heart sinks once again.
"I guess he forgot...again."
She just assumes that he forgot.
