Chapter 32: Meeting Mr. Sander June 2, 20— 9:32 A.M. Timothy Sander’s Paperback Books & More Joslin Lane Erich’s shift at Cupcakes didn’t begin until three that afternoon. He was going to work with Richter in the kitchen for four hours and then spend some valued time on the bakery’s floor for the remaining four hours of his shift. This morning he had off. His agenda entailed a ten-mile bike ride to Erie and back, a half hour of sunbathing, another half hour in the shower, a fruit salad for lunch, and a short nap.
