"You have talked enough. Time to go now!" She had never heard such a rich, deep voice. It wrapped itself around her, making her feel strange emotions she couldn't even explain.
Was it fear? She felt like submitting to him, much to her dismay. What did that even mean?
"You better get out if you know what's good for you!" she tried to sound intimidating, despite her slight trembling. "I was just talking to the police!"
She took a look at the man's broad face. He was just as big as the man who bit her, and almost as good looking. His eyes were shrewd, making her feel like he could see right through her, every thought in her brain bared before him.
"Police? Who is police? Whoever they are, I am not scared of them. Now, you be a good girl and allow me to carry you out of here." He bent slightly over her.
She was filled with panic and fear. She was going to be kidnapped from her own house!
"I am not going anywhere with you! Leave my house now. The police are on their way!"
"I've told you, I am not scared of them! We are wasting time here. Let's go!"
When the man tried to lift her, she kicked him hard in the groin, finding sudden energy. Adrenaline at work. He straightened up and frowned at her.
"I didn't expect you to have so much strength. But since you want to play it this way, you've left me no choice..."
The man quickly produced a white handkerchief from his pocket and she she was helpless to do anything about it as he moved to cover her mouth and nose with it.
Ether, she realized as she inhaled the substance on it, just before passing out.
