Chapter 9
It was kind of eerie watching Angel during the car ride over to Francesca’s. I wanted to leave him back at my place, but Carmen insisted that he come along. I was afraid someone I knew would see us, and that we would have to explain why I never mentioned a twin. Carmen didn’t think anyone would really question it, and that we were far enough from home to not run into anyone who knew our family. I was still a bit wary, but I finally conceded.
Angel was all for the visit. He figured that this would settle everything once and for all, and that his life would get back to normal. It was too exhausting to keep fighting with him on this, so I just stayed quiet.
