The meeting

Xavier POV

Catherine is such a tease. She and her wolf really want us. I know it's hard for her to resist what is between us. But I can help her relieve some needs. Her body is begging for me to claim. Her arousal scent makes me and my wolf on the edge. Her scent is intoxicated. Even when I growl at my Beta Travis and warn him to not flirt with my mate she is aroused. She sure wants a male to claim what she is missing. Travis is such a playboy but always just messes with girls but not serious with them. He looks like he sleeps with anyone but he is very picky. But still, I don't like how he offers himself to my mate. I know she is very valuable but still. I trust him with everything. We are like real brothers, even our parents are not the same. We grow up together and by each side in good and bad moments. He is younger than me by a year but he sometimes behaves like a teen boy. I am 24 and he is 23 but I always joke with him about this matter. We were just in college when the s*it fell for us. My father and my mother died in the war. I have to take over the Alpha position before I plan to. I had to be strong for my pack. I can't show them how much it hurts to lose them and nobody by my side that moment truly listens to me. Travis with me but it's different as if my mate is by my side. Now I find Catherine. I have a chance to make the future better. For her, for me, and our future family. I hope she likes kids because I am always planning to start with my mate. I'm glad how Duncan was behaving with her and called her Luna. That was my dream come true. Find my mate who is the future Luna of my pack and also the other half of me. I know that the Moon Goddess paired us perfectly. She has been strong and independent being alone for such a long time. I want to hear about her past. Duncan is gathering together such sexy clothes for her. I wonder if she still wears my boxer, or Duncan gives her panties and what kind of he is. Oh, Goddess when she touches me and sparks on my skin. It's really hard to hold myself back and not claim her in Duncan's house. I don't know how long I can hold back myself but I will try my best. I know she will beg for me one day and I can't wait for it.

"We are running late from a meeting, but don't worry Cat. I will return this favor later and you won't resist me.-I say to her with a husky sexy voice or at least I try. I turn and walk to the front door to leave. I look back at her to make sure she is following me. She rolls her eyes at me. I never know for sure when she will follow my order so I always look back at her to make sure.

I start walking and finally, she follows me inside the house again. We walk back to my office and the others are already waiting for us there. I wait for Catherine to enter the room and close the door behind her. I'm sure she feels like a caged animal and with many others here as well. They speak with each other but when they see us the conversation falls silent. They all raise in from their seats and bow to us. I like that they respect me. I move to one of the couches and I hope Catherine will follow me. But she stays near the door like she is ready to run away at any second. I gesture at them and all sit down. And after them, I sit down also.

"Council, thank you for everybody coming. -I say to them and all eyes on me. I'm not positive if they even realize that I enter the room with Catherine. My head warrior looks at her and after the others follow his gaze. Now I'm sure they see her. I see their eyes widen and their breath coming heavier. Some of their mouths drop from the shock because they see a she-wolf in front of them. Not just a simple she-wolf. My mate and their Luna. Now they all look at her and I follow them. I look at her and she looks back into my eyes. I signal to her with my eyes to come here. She hesitates for a second but slowly walks in my direction. Her head up to show, she is not afraid of them. She reaches the couch and stands by my side with so much confidence.

"My friends let me introduce all of you, Catherine. She is the reason why this conference happens now. She is my mate.-I tell them with happiness in my voice but emphasize the word mate. She is standing by my side but not close enough. So our body is not touching. I can feel her body heat even at this distance and feel her scent. Catherine looks at all the people who she didn't meet before. The two older from my pack they called the elders. They live in this world much longer and have so many experiences in life. A tall and well-built warrior with broad shoulders and chest. He is a little smaller than me but thicker everywhere. Even though he looks big and some tattoos cover his body, his heart is soft. He didn't find his mate yet and I wonder if he ever will. He is my head warrior Kane. I can always trust him and he will never question my orders. Near him sit my special pack member. He is a normal size compared to Kane. He is a prophet. He can see in the future and sometimes in the past also. Only what the Moon Goddess wants to share with us. He blinds for his one eye but because with that eye, he can see the future of the past. It's strange I know but we are used to it. I know that a prophet is very rare so we are lucky with him. The last two people in the room are Beta Travis and Dr. Matthews. So we seven are the Council in my pack and discuss every important thing in the pack. Travis wink at Catherine like he did before and the doctor smiles at her. I know they already like her just how confident she is in front of them.

"The reason I ask all of you here first is that I want to introduce the council member Catherine. She will be around in the pack and I want around her some males she can thrust. The second reason is that I know what will happen to us. I know very well our situation. We haven't seen a she-wolf since they died in our pack or the last we saw about two years ago but she just disappeared. She is so precious and not just for me. I know when the rumor spread about her many will come and want to take away her. So I don't tell her about the other packs. Not before she will be marked by me and I can officially introduce her as my Luna. I don't want her to escape from this pack either. Hope everyone understands this. Is it clear for everybody?-I tell them while I look at each one by one. They bow to know me that they understand everything I tell them so far. I know she probably does not like the way I speak about her but that is the truth. I don't risk losing her not now when she shows up. I can sense a little of her feelings about this situation. A little anger rises inside her but she holds back herself.

"We understand all of this Alpha. But I have to say we are still worried. Even if she wears your mark, the risk is still there and males will come and want to take her away.-Elder Andrew speaks up. He says with a gentle voice so Catherine will not freak out. He sure tells the truth but I'm not really worried about it.

"Yeah it's true, but I'm not worried about it much. No other pack as big as ours, only the Dark Moon pack can rival us. The others have no chance against us. They don't risk their pack being destroyed because of one she-wolf. They rather live without the rest of their life without a she-wolf than die for it. Hmm, or they take her without starting a war. Warrior Kane, I want two of your best warriors to be her personal guard only until I mark her.-I tell my plan to Kane and the others. We have to be careful and not make any weak points so she will be safe all the time.

"I promise Alpha we will protect our Luna. No one can take her away.-Kane speaks with pride and determination in his voice.

"Alpha, can I tell you another fact?-Dr. Matthews suddenly speaks up. Like he realizes something just now.

"Sure doctor go ahead.

"Luna Catherine was found early today. Her body is young and reacts faster like an older person. Her wolf is probably very excited to find her mate and will be pushing her soon into heat. I think about later tomorrow afternoon or night when it will hit her. If she wasn't marked by that time I am afraid you have to keep your pack away from her. Maybe an outsider can also smell her as well. So we have to be more alert.-Dr. Matthews says and he tells the truth. Sh*t I forget about the heat after the wolf finds their mate. I hear a big gulp from Catherine. I feel a little worry from her and I can understand that. I have to stay very close to her and try to keep everyone from her. I don't think she will let me claim her this soon but we will get over this and the next time I'm sure she will let me.

"I will close by too if you want somebody else but our Alpha. I always ready to serve you Luna Catherine.-Travis speaks up with his flirtatious behavior again and wink at Catherine. Travis looks like to reach my limits. I growling at him to know his place and he bows to me to sign he is done.

"Kane the two warriors I ask you have to be marked so they will not go crazy because of her heat. They can inform me as soon as possible if I am not around her at that time. Until she stays close to me.-I order Kane and he understands what I want. The meeting continues for a while about some not important pack stuff. How they have to keep everybody in training and the food they can store. I can imagine Catherine's legs probably tired for the many standing near me. It's an empty place near me but she stands still.

"Thank you, everybody. I dismiss everybody. Let's have dinner and go to bed.-I say to them. All of them now to me and soon leave the room. I turn to Catherine and look into her eyes.

"I will order our dinner to the room. You can eat peacefully and not in front of many males around you. It will be uncomfortable for you and I don't want many males around you. Not before I mark you. It is safer for you and them. Because if anyone comes too close to you I will not think twice to rip him apart. No matter if he is a pack member or not.-I tell her honesty and touch her cheek with my finger to caress her a little. She didn't pull away immediately. I think our bond gets stronger by the time we spend together and her wolf pushes her mate also. We slowly walk back to my room while I mind link for our food.
