CHAPTER SEVENTEEN Daniel got a text early the next morning, the middle of the night in D.C., with the instruction to go to a certain address in downtown Luxor where a representative of the U.S. government would meet them. He was specifically instructed to identify himself only by name and not by his bureau affiliation. Remi was to come but under no circumstances should they bring along any Egyptians. That surprised him. There was no U.S. consulate in Luxor. He’d checked. The final line of the text read, “Once you have memorized the address, delete this message. Do not write down the address.
