Chapter 17 I feel a tap on my shoulder and flinch. “Excuse me.” A man’s voice. I’m having trouble hearing him. “Um, little girl?” Who’s he calling “little girl”? I’m a young lady. Where are his manners? Another shoulder tap. He is starting to piss me off. “Excuse me, little girl.” Okay, that’s it. I pivot, remove my sunglasses and confront him with my angriest pink-eyed glare. “What?” He’s in a brown suit. His eyebrows arch. His mouth opens slightly, then closes. I’ve shocked him. I know because I’ve seen this look before. Countless times. He clears his throat. “Are you okay?” “I’m fine, thank you.” I let my gaze linger then replace my sunglasses. Like I need them indoors, anyway. I’m an albino, for God’s sake, not a blind person, right? “I’m Mr. Robinson. I work here,” he says. “
