We get to my house, and I realize that Maura hasn’t been inside yet. Luckily, I’m not messy, but it’ll be the first time I let another female into my home.
I hesitate at the door. And she rubs my arm.
“Is everything okay?” She whispers as Angel and Chase are running around looking at the plants on my deck.
“You don’t have any women to hold up in here do ya?” She says laughing, wiggling her eyebrows at me.
“Absolutely not.. The only other person that has been in my home is my brother. And this is new for me. Having someone I care about over.” I said in a whisper. She blushes with a huge smile on her face. She slightly pushes me out of the way and turns the knob and walks inside.
