The charity auction

Victoria feels embarrassed, and she does not like it at all. She glares at Stella, who is laughing as she posts the video of Victoria embarrassing herself on the internet again. Victoria always thinks she is better than anyone else. Stella realises that her idol has feet of clay and that Jayda is a much better person than Victoria. Dr Mike smiles as he sees Stella enjoying herself, and he does not intervene in her little battle with Victoria. Mike does not like Victoria as she is a b***h and has caused him trouble at the previous hospital he worked. Victoria was doing a film about being a doctor and was at the hospital to get some tips. She complained about him as he was busy with a patient who needed his attention immediately, and he could not help her with her research. She complained that he was unwilling to help her and almost cost him his job and reputation. After that, he and the hospital management had problems, so he changed jobs. Jason and Jayda were unaware of what was happening behind them, and they waited patiently for the auction to start. Jayden and Cathy were sitting near them, and Cathy knew she was in love with Jayden as she looked at the young man sitting next to her. He is handsome like his father, and Cathy can feel many jealous eyes on her. However, she does not know how Jayden thinks about her as he does not show his emotions. Jason always teases her that Jayden is in love with her, but Cathy is not so sure as Jayden has always been her childhood friend, and she thinks he is only helping her because of the past they share. On the other hand, Jayden is very much aware of the beautiful woman sitting next to him. He always loved Cathy, and although he did not tell her about his feelings, he is sure she has to know as he is helping her bring down Morozov's company. He is confident that Cathy knows by now that he is helping her buy the share her father and brothers are selling to maintain their luxurious lifestyles. He steals a glance at Cathy and sees she is looking at him. "What?" He asks her with a smile. "Why are you helping me buy shares in Vladim's company?" Cathy asks. "Can't friends help each other?" Jayden asks. "Yeah, but what you are doing is much more than just helping a friend." Cathy says straightforwardly. "Well, I happen to like you, and I am helping you because you will be free of your past as soon as you get your revenge." Jayden says. "Do you like me as a friend or something more than a friend?" Cathy asks. "We will talk about that the day you got your revenge on Vladim." Jayden says and smiles. Before Cathy can ask anything more, the auction starts, and the first few items are small items with no real value. Then an antique item comes up, and Jayda sits up in her chair. She loves antiques, something she learned from her grandmother. Jayda knows antiques as she and her grandmother went to many antique shops. She sits back in her chair as she sees the hairpin. Jayda is not interested in the old hairpin item as she can tell that it is not the real deal. She decides to bid on it anyway as she likes it, but she will not go too high on the price. She put in a bid, and Victoria saw Jayda bidding on the item and put in a higher price. Jayda looks back and sees it is Victoria bidding against her. Jayda knows the hairpin is not worth more than five hundred dollars, so she only bid three hundred dollars. Victoria put in a bid of five hundred dollars, and Jayda smiles. She will have some fun with Victoria and see how high she will go. "One thousand dollars." Jayda says. However, she does not mind as she has money, and it is for charity. "Two thousand dollars." Victoria says. "Three thousand dollars." Jayda says. Jason looks at her and frowns. "It is not worth that much." Jason says. "I know." Jayda says and smiles. "Seven thousand dollars." Victoria says. Jayda keeps quiet after that, and Victoria smiles proudly as she wins the bet. Jason shakes his head and smiles as he knows Jayda is playing with Victoria. It goes like that for the rest of the night, and Victoria outbids Jayda on everything she bets on. Jason can only smile as Victoria is spending money on worthless items. Jayden and Cathy are laughing as they see what Jayda is doing. Victoria was very proud of herself during the break at the auction and went to pay for the items she bought. She will show Jayda that a doctor can not compete with an actress. She has more money than Jayda Hudson, and she proved it tonight. Jayda gave up when the prices got too high, which shows how poor she is. Jayda may come from a wealthy family, but she is not that rich. Victoria parades around like a proud peacock and goes and pays for the things she bought. The auctioneer thanks her for her good-hearted contributions to charity, and Victoria smiles happily. Caroline, her manager, walks up to Victoria. "What are you doing? Why do you keep bidding against Jayda Hudson? Are you stupid?" Caroline asks. "I am not stupid, and if Jayda bid on something, it must be worth much more. She can not afford to outbid me, that is all. Don't worry. I will sell these items again and get my money back." Victoria says. "Those things you bought are worthless. Jayda was playing you, and you were so stupid to fall right into her trap." Caroline says. "What do you mean worthless? I paid a lot for those things. It must be worth a lot of money!" Victoria says. She will not let Caroline take her victory over Jayda away. "She pushed up the price and then stopped betting because you made ridiculous offers for worthless items." Caroline says. She wonders about her client. Victoria has been involved in many scandals lately, and Caroline does not know if she wants to be involved with Victoria anymore. Her partner walks over to where Victoria and Caroline are standing. "Victoria, I see you made the headlines again! You threw a drink into Lucas Jameson's face." Aaron Cox says. He does not look happy as his agency will suffer under this woman and her antics. "You did what? You know you have an audition for the lead role in Lucas Jameson's new film on Monday! You better find him and apologise." Caroline says. She knows they signed Victoria for five years, but she has to find a way out of the contract with all these scandals. Victoria does not even have a big backer like Jason Morgan anymore. She is a hopeless case. "It was not my fault! I did not mean to throw it at him. This woman in the crowd taunted me all the time, and I threw it at her." Victoria tries to explain. "I don't care what happened. But, you better find Lucas and apologise." Caroline says. She is a nervous wreck as she knows they might never get to work with Lucas Jameson again. He is a grumpy man, and he does not like being humiliated. She needs to call Enzo and hear if he can help her and remove the video from the internet. Victoria looks at Caroline as if she is crazy. First, Caroline tells her she bought worthless junk and Jayda was playing her, and now she has to apologise to Lucas Jameson. She is a big star, and everyone bows down to her. Why should she apologise? Victoria ignores Caroline and walks away with her drink in her hand, looking for Jason. Jason always solved her problems for her. She will look for him and ask him to get the video taken down from the internet. He knows how, and he will help her as he had before. She also wants the one of her in her lingerie taken down. Victoria does not see Jason anywhere, and she frowns. He and Jayda must be here somewhere. She smiles as she sees him standing, talking to Lucas Jameson. Her face turns ugly when she sees Jason's arm around Jayda's waist. "Jason, you did not even greet me tonight." Victoria says, ignoring Lucas and Jayda. "Victoria Ward, you threw me with a drink earlier, and you do not even dare to apologise." Lucas Jameson says. "Mr Jameson, it was not my fault. The drink was not aimed at you." Victoria says and tries to take Jason's arm, but he pulls his arm away and takes Jayda in his arms. He is not in the mood for Victoria. Victoria glares at Jayda with so much hate in her eyes that it looks like she wants to kill her. "Well, you are as rude as they say. Don't even mind showing up for your audition for the lead role in my film on Monday." Lucas says. Victoria looks at Lucas, and there is shock in her eyes. No one would ever dare talk to her like that in front of Jason. She looks at Jason, who is kissing Jayda's hair, and he does not seem interested in saying anything in her defense as he always did before. She does not know that Jason always helped her out as he did not want to be embarrassed in public, and she always pretended to be his date. Jason excuses himself and Jayda as the auction is getting ready to proceed. He takes Jayda's hand and walks with her to their seats at the front. Lucas only greets them and glares at Victoria. "Lucas, there was a misunderstanding. I am sorry I accidentally threw the drink in your face. Can we please start over? I see you have no date. Do you mind if I join you?" Victoria says flirtatiously. Lucas glares at Victoria and turns around to walk away. He has no time for this woman. "Lucas ..." Victoria tries one more time. "Listen here, Victoria Ward, everyone in this industry only tolerated you because of Jason! You are nothing on your own! If I can give you advice, keep away from Jayda Hudson, you do not want to offend her and her family." Lucas says and returns to his seat. Victoria is angry, and she does not like how people are staring at her and pointing. Some are openly laughing at her. They heard what Lucas said to her, and she returned to her seat, grabbing another glass of wine on her way there. Jason and Jayda sit in front, and Jason takes Jayda's hand in his, holds it and kisses it. "They always save the best stuff for the last half of the auction." Jason whispers in Jayda's ear. "I know. I wonder if Miss Ward could come in the second half. She already spent a small fortune on the first part of the auction." Jayda says. "My Jayda, you will never change, and I love the naughty side." Jason says. Jayda looks at him and smiles. Did he call her his Jayda? She must not have heard right. Why would Jason call her his? There is nobody around. They don't have to pretend to be a couple. Jayden and Cathy have not returned to their seats yet, and only they are sitting in the front seats. Soon the seats are filled up again, and the auction begins again. This part of the auction is for people who have money. The big guns will come out to play now as this is the actual antique and jewels auction. First up is a beautiful antique painting by a painter Jayda's grandmother loves. Jayda knows the artwork is worth at least four hundred and fifty dollars, and she wants it for her grandmother. The painter is not as well-known as others, but getting a painting by the artist is rare. Jayda put a bid in for four hundred and fifty thousand dollars. She only says four-fifty, but the auctioneer knows what she means. "Five hundred and fifty dollars." Victoria shouts from the back. "You mean Five hundred and fifty thousand, right?" The auctioneer asks Victoria. Victoria is in shock and shakes her head. "Seven hundred thousand." Jayda says, and the rich people laugh as they know Jayda said out the amount so Victoria can understand. Victoria gets up and leaves the auction. She had enough for today. "One of these days, Jayda Hudson, I will get back at you, and that day, you will regret messing with me." Victoria thinks as she leaves.
