"Mr. David?"
"Yes? How is she? How is the baby?"
"Both the mother and the baby are healthy. You can meet them now"
"Thank you so much"
As I opened the door, I saw the most beautiful sight of my life. My angel was sleeping peacefully in her mother's arms. I could see how happy she was with her decision. The pain and hurt she felt for the last nine months, were long lost. I saw her smile like this for the first time.
"David" she called me.
"How is she?" I asked walking closer to them.
"She is so tiny" she replied with a big smile.
"Can I hold her?" I asked hesitantly.
She nodded and slowly passed my angel into my arms. My angel was still sleeping peacefully. I wonder what her eye color is.
"You don't have to be scared. You are doing well" she encouraged me. It was my first time holding a baby.
"Did you think about her name?" I asked.
"Andrea" she said. I guess she still wants him to be a part of our angel's life.
"Andrea? Any middle name?" I asked.
"Andrea Macboon" she said looking straight at me.
"But-"
"Please be her legal guardian" she requested me. I was about to deny it but she stopped me.
"I don't wanna reveal her identity. Even if Andrew tracks me down, he can never reach her. I can't lose her. Please don't say no" she begged me.
"Fine. I'll do it for you" I replied, making her smile in relief.
I wish she could stop running from Andrew and heal. I want her to fall in love, but not with him again.
