Later that night... Diana is currently standing infront of a tall building where Venice, her cousin, works. She just received her salary today, and she thought of inviting Venice to dine out with her tonight... "Hmm... Is she working overtime again?" she wondered to herself. She was about to call her cousin through the mobile phone when someone called her name. "--- Diana? What are you doing here?" Venice instantly smiled when she saw her cousin. "Well, I just got my salary, and I was thinking of inviting you to dinner, and enjoy a glass of beer..." Diana replied. Venice stared at her cousin, while looking a little bit skeptical. "Why? Is there any special occasion?" she asks, while trying to be cautious. Diana rolled her eyes heavenward after hearing her cousin. "Well, there's no special occasion but, I just want to have a Girl's Night Out with you! Is that a crime already?" she cajoled, just thinking how paranoid her cousin is. "Since it's your treat, I won't say no to your invitation... Let's go before you change your mind!" Venice said in a hurry, pulling her cousin with her. They both laughed as the made their way to their favorite restaurant... At a certain restaurant... Diana slammed the empty mug of beer unto the table after drinking it in one shot. "I thought you wanted to eat dinner with me? Why are you drinking as if there's no tomorrow?" Venice puzzily asks, while looking at her cousin. "I want you to tell me the truth, my dear cousin... Are you still inlove with that jerk, Warren?" Diana suddenly asked, as she's obviously drunk already. "What's with the sudden question, Diana?" Venice couldn't help herself but to be surprised with Diana's question... Why is she remembering what happened in the past all of a sudden? "You don't have to hide your real feelings towards that jerk, Venice. Even if you don't say it verbally, he's still in your heart, am I right?" "Diana, you're already drunk." Venice tried changing the topic. "---I can still clearly remember that day... You were extremely heartbroken when Warren suddenly left out hometown. He greedily chose his dream, and he easily dropped you like a hot potato..." Diana went down the memory lane, and then, she started crying... That painful memory came back to her mind again... She can clearly remember how her cousin cried in her own room for so many days... She wanted to comfort her, but their grandpa told her that they should give Venice her own time and space.. And it's all because of that darn man... WARREN. Diana's mind returned to the present when she heard Venice's voice. "We can't stay feeling angry with him, Diana. We have to forgive him somehow." she gently stated. "Do you still love him, Venice?" Diana asked the same question again. Venice looks away from her cousin, instead of answering her question. "We need to go home. Maybe Grandpa is already home, worrying about us." Venice can't directly answer Diana's question because she's confused with her own feelings as well... ======================= The next day. "May I have your attention, please!" Boss Audrey suddenly called for her employees' attention. "I wonder what the witch is up to now..." Lara muttered under her breath, while looking annoyed. "Stop calling her names, Lara. She might hear you." Venice warned her friend. "As you all know, the MBN company has formally opened and started their scriptwriting contest. We decided to submit Olivia's manuscript. She is going to be the representative of our publishing company, and I hope we can give her our full support." Miss Audrey happily announced. Everyone applauded after hearing the announcement... "This is a scam! Your work is much, much better than Olivia! Tsk, Olivia is her beloved niece, so it's no surprise that she'll choose her! That old witch is really unfair!" exclaimed Lara. "It's okay, Lara. Maybe I'll be lucky next time..." Venice forced herself to smile, but deep inside, she's utterly disappointed. Evening quickly came. And as usual, Venice is still infront of her laptop, finishing all the tasks that Boss Audrey asks her to do. "Someone should give you a loyalty award, Venice. Eventhough that witch chose her own niece to become the company's representative for the writing competition even if your way much better than her, here you are---still being loyal to that old woman!" Lara did a side comment. Venice smiled when noticed her friend all dressed and glammed up. She's definetely going for another date again... "Well, I think you should be given a loyalty award as well. You and Brent have been together for 4 years together, and you're still going strong as ever!" she said, as she tries changing the topic. Lara's eyes sparkled when she heard her long-time boyfriend's name. "You're right. I can't believe that this is the longest relationship that I have in my whole life. I think he's really "The One!" she gushed at her. "And I'm so happy for you, my friend!" Venice excitedly responded. "Oh, before I can forget, here's the USB stick that you've been asking for." Lara suddenly remembered, as she handed to USB to Venice. "So, what do you think of my script?" Venice curiously asks Lara. She asked her friend to proofread her newest work, and give her opinions about it. "It's such a masterpiece, Venice! I slept late last night because I really want to finish your script." Lara replied, while looking thrilled. "Is that based on your professional opinion? You're not just saying all of this because you're my friend?" Venice tries to interrogate Lara. "What the heck are you talking about? I'm telling you the truth, girl! I can really imagine that this is going to be a blockbuster if yoir script will be adapted into a movie!" Lara insisted. "Well, what can I say? Thank you so much for doing this for me, Lara. Now I have more confident of my own work." Seira sincerely thanked her friend. "Oh, stop being a drama queen, Venice. You're a talented writer, not an actress... Oh, I have to go now, Brent's already at the entrance. I'll see you tomorrow, okay?" Lara finally said goodbye. "Enjoy your date!" Venice called out to her. When Lara was finally out of sight, she went back to her work...
