I stood straight in front of the mirror nervously. I couldn't help it, but my heart kept racing. I exhaled and inhaled to calm myself. This is the day I'm going to pretend. I'm checking myself in the mirror. I look like Helena right now. My face was caked with makeup in the right places. Thanks to the hair extension, my hair is now wavy and long. My lips are as red as blood. And I put on a colored brown contact lens. I feel like I can't breathe because of my tight dress, it is above the knee. Honestly speaking, I had a voluptuous body. She was slim but sexy. But I'm trying to lose weight. That's why I am on a diet right now. Though Helena didn't pay attention to our body differences, I still wanted to lose weight. "I have already called the driver. His name is Max. He will come here to pick you up, and please act normal. You're too obvious." I almost jumped when I heard Helena's voice. I didn't notice her when she entered the room. He handed me the luggage, and I frowned. I wonder why I need to bring the luggage. She looks at me as if she read what's on my mind. "I will not be around in 2 months," she said and cleared her throat. She did not meet my eyes, as if she was hiding something and it seemed that she was afraid that I would discover the truth. When she didn't hear me say anything, she looked at me. "I will stay here and hide. Max will come later. Call me if you need anything." I nodded. I was nervous and Helena always reminded me that I should act naturally. "Do I look fine? Are you sure they will not know that I am not the real Helena?" I asked worriedly. She shook her head. "Don't worry, no one will suspect you. Trust me on that." She said and grinned. I exhaled and walked to bed. My feet were shaking, and I tried not to stumble. I sit on the bed sighing. I heard Helena giggle. I glared at her, she just smirked and stared at me amused. A few minutes later, we heard a knock on the door. My lips formed a big letter O. And my heart started beating so fast. Okay relax Savannah, you can do it! I encouraged myself. I look at Helena, she looks so calm. She gestured her head, saying that I needed to open the door now. "How about you?" I asked her in a whisper. She rolled her eyes and turned her back, she walked gracefully to the bathroom. "Don't worry about me. I definitely enjoy my freedom." I nervously opened the door and I saw a middle-aged man. He was tall and a fine man, his gray hair looked appealing for his age. He smiled at me politely. He was wearing a three-piece black suit. He looked so formal. "Good evening, ma'am, are your things ready?" he asked politely. I forced a smile on my lips. "I-yes. Can you wait for a minute? I will get my things." I noticed unpredictable emotions flash in his eyes, but they disappeared in an instant. I closed the door slowly; afraid I might close the door rudely. I hurriedly went to the bathroom and knocked on the door. "Helena, I will go now," I said goodbye in a whisper. I don't know why I felt emotional. I wanted to cry. She never answered. I sighed and let her be. I get my luggage and my shoulder bag. And then I slowly walked to the door. I opened the door and saw Max still standing in front of me. I smiled awkwardly; he didn't move from where he was. "Let's go." "Your luggage, ma'am," he said in a monotonous tone. I furrowed my eyebrows and looked at the luggage I was holding. "My luggage? What's the matter?" I asked him because I couldn't see a problem with my luggage. I saw him frown as if he didn't understand me. My heart started pounding again when he looked dead at me awkwardly. He cleared his throat. "I mean, let me take your luggage," He repeated with his polite voice. Doesn't this guy don't know how to smile? "It's okay, I can handle my luggage, it's not heavy at all," I said and then laughed a little. Again, he frowned. To hide my nervousness I walked past him, and I slowly walked. Damn, these heels! He followed me and pressed the elevator button for me. I smiled at him, it was my way of saying thank you. He adjusted his necktie. Maybe he was a little bit suffocated. We are now inside the elevator. I was about to press the button, but he pressed it first down to the parking area. When the elevator opened, he let me go out first. I smiled at him for being so gentlemanly. I heard him clear his throat and didn't return my smile. As I can see, he looks uncomfortable right now. I didn't know why I was just being friendly and kind. I followed him to the car, and we stopped in a four-seater black car. I am not familiar with cars, but it looked expensive, and the windows were tinted. He gets my luggage and puts it in the back of the car. When he came back to me, he opened the door for the passenger's seat in front of me. I smiled at him politely. "Thank you," I said and got in the car. I saw him shake his head and walk to the driver's seat. I heard my phone ring; Helena bought me a new phone yesterday. I opened my shoulder bag and got the phone. "Hello?" I answered nervously because I knew it was Helena. Did she forget to tell me something? I saw Max glancing in the front mirror. I smiled at him every time our eyes met. We were on our way to Helena's home. "Savannah, are you in the car now?" she asked. I nodded, and then I realized she couldn't see me nodding. I think old habit never die. "Yes, is there a problem? We are on our way to your house... I mean to my house." I answered and sighed; I almost slipped my tongue. I looked at Max, it seemed he was focused on driving the car. "I'm just checking you. Please relax, okay? And by the way, I have already deposited the money to your mom's bank account and I have already contacted the Hospital for her medication and checkups." Her voice was always full of assurance that she was serious about our deal. "Oh, thank you so much, Hel-" Again I looked in Max's direction. I almost slipped my tongue again. "Thank you, I owe you," I said in a low and sincere voice. Max looked at me and turned his attention again to the road. "You're always welcome, just do your job properly. And remember don't act too nice." "I will." After the call, I put my phone back in my shoulder bag. I looked outside the window, I saw the beautiful lights in the street, the people were busy walking and scattered everywhere. I am so worried; I hope everything will be fine. I hope Helena's parents are not rude and harsh on me. From now on, I need to put in my mind that I am now Helena Evans. Oh yes, Helena Evans. I don't know where we are now. I have just read the signpost that says, 172 Belle Avenue Mansion. The car entered a large gate. There were three guards at the side of the gate. Which house is Helena's, I wonder? We passed a lot of large, exquisite homes that were referred to be mansions. I admire the lovely view of the Mansion with my own eyes. A few minutes later, we came to a stop at a big black fence. I believe the gate is censored because it is opened systematically. The car entered and I was awed when I saw what was inside. The front of the house is so wide that you can hold a grand party in the place. The landscape of the plants on its side is so beautiful. There's a palm tree on every side of the pathway. The car stopped right in front of the doorway. I bit my lower lip. I felt nervous. Max opened the door for me. I was very hesitant to get out of the car. I exhaled and inhaled to calm myself and then I got out of the car. I saw my luggage was already at the side of the car. The main door opened, and the maid came out. She hurriedly bows down to me and gets my luggage. I'm about to protest, but no words came out of my mouth. I was speechless. I didn't know that Helena was so rich. "Are you all right, ma'am?" I heard Max's monotonous voice, my gaze dropped on him. I saw the confusion on his face. My lips pressed together and I nodded my head. I slowly walked towards the door and went inside. I almost gasped when my eyes wandered inside the house. It was very beautiful. From the expensive furniture, figurines, and many more. The interiors are so extravagant. I was deep in my thoughts and my eyes were busy exploring the house when I heard someone's voice. "So, you're home." I heard a man's voice; his voice was intimidating and it sent chills down my spine. I turned around and my eyes went wide when I saw a man with an epitome of perfection. My heart skips a beat when he looks at me intensely. "And... you gained weight," he commented while scanning my body shamelessly. *** Thank you for reading this chapter.
