Chapter 13:
The sun was up when Helena woke. The sounds of the busy port were easy to make out from the open windows. Captain Cox had been true to his word, and they entered port at first light.
Helena was slightly perturbed no one woke her, but then again with the revelry that happened last night, the crew might not be at their sharpest.
“We’re here,” Helena said to Sigmund as they passed. Her toothbrush in hand, she quickly scrubbed the film off her teeth. She didn’t want to meet the authorities with, dare she say, Dragon breath.
Sigmund was still pulling himself together when she let herself into the hall. The trip to the bridge was well worn by her footsteps.
