The further from the scene of the recent m******e, the more relaxed Helena became. Not knowing what the Creatures were that attacked the men did little to help her uneasy feeling. However, the longer they traveled and remained alive, the more she held hope for their future. She had faced the unknown before. At times she found it brutal, but normally she found there was a reason behind even the most despicable acts of the Creatures. They followed a logic, even if it was vastly different from humans.
