"Asher," Felix stated as he looked down at the baby. We were still in the village and Felix hasn't let him go since I gave him to him.
"Asher?" Jade asked as she smiled down at the baby. Maximus was looking at the babies arm with the scar.
"Yes," I said with a smile. The perfect name...the name of Fergus's late son.
"I love it," Jade said and looked at Felix sheepishly, "can I hold him?"
"Of course," Felix said with a smile and handed him off. Jade smiled fondly down at the baby as she hummed to him.
"So?" Maximus asked.
"So?" I looked at him with a raised eyebrow.
"We're keeping him, right?" He asked.
"Yes!" Both me and Felix said at the same time.
"Yay," Jade said with a small voice as she stroked the face of the baby.
"We should-" Felix started before the door came ceased down. Felix stepped in front of Jade and the baby with his sword drawn. Maximus did the same as he pushed me behind them.
"Ah..." A familiar voice sent chills down my spine, "thanks for leading me to him."
"Erin," Felix growled.
"Hello," Erin looked worse than ever with sunken skin and bloodshot eyes. He stepped forward, as did Felix.
"Leave!" Maximus ordered.
"Never," he laughed and we heard a roar of dragons.
"How dare you!" I said as the roof erupted in flames. It was a danger for everyone. Especially the dragons who had to fly this way.
"Go," Maximus ordered, "I'll hold him off."
"No-" Jade started but was cut off as he pulled her into a kiss. I stifled a smile. Yes, this was a dire situation but...I couldn't stop the smile as I started to pull her away.
"Maximus-" Felix started.
"No! You make sure they get out of here," he said with a smile, "don't worried. I'll catch up."
Felix looked like he wanted to argue as he pushed us towards the back door. I looked back as they lifted their blades to fight.
"Felix," I asked as he pushed me through, "can he survive against him?"
"In sword fighting? Yes, Arthur taught me to fight and I beat him," he said with narrowed eyes, "but we don't know what he has up his sleeves."
"Oh, Maximus," I said as we started down the path as we heard screams and roars.
