A few days later, Ynna's friend instantly found a man to introduce to her. She didn't hesitate to show up for her date with the man. Perhaps she understands that not seeking her boyfriend throughout the years has been a mistake. She also thought that she had been estranged from love as a result of her refusal to engage in a relationship.
However, her ex-fiance is on the lookout for a woman. She began to wonder whether her ex-fiance was seeking a woman now because he and his girlfriend had split up.
She shook her head when she realized she was wasting her precious mind on a worthless man.
The taxi driver dropped her off when they got in front of the restaurant where she would meet her blind date. But she stalled when she caught a glimpse of herself on the restaurant's glass wall.
She was pleased with her outfit and showed it by grinning while looking at it. She was stopped for a moment when a man wearing a black cap blocked the glass wall. Not knowing his intention, she stepped aside and admired her dress once again.
Her forehead furrowed when the man interrupted again. She heaved a sigh and headed for the restaurant door. She was about to push the door when the man wearing the cap pushed it first. Her brow wrinkled but she also smirked.
"Thank you," she muttered as she entered first. Her friend is an amazing make-up expert, as seen by her stunning appearance today.
But she was caught off guard when she sensed the man following her from behind, so she turned to face him. However, the man tilted his head to the side. She shrugged and walked over to the table her friend had reserved.
When she reached the table, her blind date had not yet arrived. She waited some more while reading her friend's list of dos and don'ts for the blind date.
Her attention was caught when her eyes spotted the black-capped man a while ago sitting at the adjacent table. She tried to focus on the paper in front of her, but she couldn't get rid of the presence of the man. Not that she was becoming illusory, but she felt him staring at her.
She resumed her concentration on the paper and read it once more. Shortly after that, she was approached by a waiter, who brought her a matcha green tea cake on a little plate with a glass of water.
"Wait, I haven't ordered yet."She interrupted the waiter.
"He gave it to you, ma'am." The waiter pointed to the man at the adjacent table.
Her gaze was drawn instantly to the man. He wasn't looking at her anymore, and he was focused on his phone.
"I think he likes you, ma'am."
The waiter grinned at her and left her side. She rubbed her cheeks before she tasted the cake. Her eyes widened as she realized the cake's soft texture and icing's sweetness were exactly right.
She took another bite and paused when she sensed the man was staring at her again. She turned her head and stared back at him to check if she knew him-
She looked at him intently when he put his finger to the side of his lip, then he pointed at her. She touched the corner of her lip fast, and when she felt icing on it, she reached for a tissue and wiped it away.
She cursed a few times in her head out of embarrassment. She shifted her gaze to the restaurant's front entrance and she never looked at the man again.
She straightened up when she saw a man approaching the table she was sitting at.
"Did you wait long?" The man asked as he approached her.
"No-"
"I was late because I had some important things to do at my office. You might know that I'm a senior supervisor of the largest company in our country." she gave him a nod of understanding.
"It's hard to leave my staff since they don't know what they're doing without me."
He continued to explain his obligations and responsibilities while she still nodded, but as time went on, she began to feel impatient. This is not at all what her friend had pictured for her on a first date.
"If you're busy, you can just go back to your workplace rather than waste her time," she automatically turned to her side as soon as she heard her ex-fiance's voice.
She was startled when she realized her ex-fiance was the man with the black cap. This means that he was the one who had been watching her a while ago and he was also the one who gave her the cake.
"Who are you?" Her ex-fiance gave her blind date a frigid glare.
"Knowing my name is like quitting your job. And to tell you the truth-" he reached for her hand.
"This woman is also busy forgetting me." He pulled her hand to make her stand up.
She wanted to yank her hand away from him, but she didn't want to cause another scene inside the restaurant. And the first thing on her to-do list now is her blind date.
She had a snarky grin on her face when she looked at her blind date.
"Mister senior supervisor, people who only see other people's flaws are worse than those who make mistakes, since they can learn from these, rather than you who live as if you're all-knowing."
"Goodbye," she said as she picked up her bag, walking away from the table.
Rex walked her out of the restaurant.
"Wow, you're a stalker now." she said sarcastically to Rex.
"Come with me," he ordered instead.
"Why should I come with you? You're not my boss, so I can be submissive to you, "she said as she took a few steps away. However, he stood in her way.
"Ynna, I'm not happy with what you're doing anymore." She laughed loudly in the air.
"Have you ever been happy with what I'm doing?"
"I've always been," he stated simply. But her lips twitched in annoyance.
"Get the hell out of my sight. I'll take legal action against you for stalking." He took another step toward her.
"You'll sue the president of Alpha Ferron? That's interesting, Ynna."
She was infuriated by his presence, and if she could shove his face away from her, she would have done it already.
"Try it." He even dared her to do it.
"But you'll never win, Ynna."she glared at him. He let out a sigh.
"Don't worry, as long as you stop doing these things, I won't bother you anymore. It's time for you to meet a man naturally.".
When he leaned in closer, her fingers clenched into fists.
"This is my last warning, Ynna,"he whispered.
