As we pulled up to the party, I was completely taken aback. I couldn't understand how the scruffy nobody at the back of the class, who slept more than studied, could live in such a house. I knew instantly that his parents must have been loaded. The sprawling detached house was at least four times as big as my parent's place. It had one of those fountains in the drive that you drive around, like in the movies. It was built in the classical style and was a stark white, which seemed to reflect the light from the full moon overhead. There were columns and arched windows. It was stunning. Unfortunately, that was where the majesty ended. As we walked through the door hand in hand, there seemed to be bodies everywhere we looked.
