Sierra's POV
"Dad?!" I called out, running out the front door. "It's Uncle P!" I yelled, running up to my uncle and his girlfriend. "Hey princess, what's up?" My uncle asked and I shrugged, a frown appearing on my face.
"Where's you dad?" He asked motioning for his girlfriend to head inside. "Arguing with mom," I whispered and he sighed. "I'm sorry, but one day you'll be free of them," he said quietly and I smiled softly.
"Thanks Uncle P."
My eyes open and I sigh, rubbing the morning goo from them. Ten years can age a person who lived a hard life. Maybe Pierce wasn't as bad as he seemed. I need to meet with my real father, find out what's going on. But then again, what if Pierce killed his own brother?
"Hey baby," Asher says with a smile and I lick my lips at the sight before me. "Like what you see?" He teases and I blush, nodding my head. "Yes I do. As a matter of fact, I think I need a shower. Want to join?" I question and his eyes darken.
"Wait until we get home babygirl. I'm going to f**k you so hard," he whispers, leaning over me. I grip the back of his neck and pull him down, capturing his lips with mine. "Mmm," I mumble against his skin. "I've missed this," I whisper. "I've missed it too," he says back.
"You sure you don't want to take that shower with me?" I ask softly and he chuckles. "As much as I want too, I'm ready to leave. Discharge papers have been signed. We can shower at home," he tells me and smile.
"Did you forge my signature?" I question with a laugh and he shakes his head. "No, the nurse said I could sign it," he mumbles and I roll my eyes. "Of course she did," I say sourly and he chuckles. "Jealous much. You have nothing to be worried about. So let's go so I can get you home," he tells me and I smile in defeat.
"Fine," I mumble with a playful eye roll. "Let's go," I tell him and smack my hands together. My stomach then decides to growl and I groan, rubbing it. "You think maybe we can stop for some real food?" I ask and he chuckles. "Sure, but we need to get you somewhere safe quick. Then we can figure out what's going on," he tells me and I frown, nodding in agreement.
"I just want the truth and I want my father to look me in the eyes and tell it to me. I don't care if he's dangerous, if he's killed people. I just want to know why he abandoned me. Why he didn't feel like I was important. I don't believe he couldn't find me. I think he knew where I was all along."
"Why would he subject his daughter to a life full of agony?" I question and Asher raises an eyebrow. "Maybe he thought you were better off not being a part of the Mafia world?" Asher suggests and I roll my eyes. "That wasn't his choice to make. At least then I wouldn't have been abused daily," I state and Asher frowns.
Ping!
Unknown - Tomorrow at 2. Plaza Palace Hotel. Room 201, bring Asher
Me - Pierce?
Unknown - Yes
"Tomorrow at two we have to go to the Plaza Palace Hotel to meet my father, your boss. This is so weird," I mumble and shake my head. What has my life become? "You're not going alone," he growls and I let out a frustrated sigh. "I said WE. You have to come along. It's what the text says."
"Okay. Let's go find Ross and get the hell out of here," he mumbles, changing the topic. I grab his hand, making him stop to intertwine our fingers. I smile up at him and he gives me a crooked smile, licking his lips.
He leans down and kisses me gently, cupping my cheek with his free hand. "You better be ready for me," he whispers and I feel myself grow wet. "I already am," I whisper back and he growls.
"Sierra?" An unwanted voice questions. I give Asher a tight lipped smile before turning around. "What?" I ask the pathetic excuse of a woman. "I heard you were in the hospital. You good?" She asks, a hint of concern in her voice. "If you really cared, you would have been here the first day. I'm fine mom, just go."
"Please Sierra, I'm sorry," she whispers and in my heart I can feel she means it, but my brain is screaming for me to listen to logical reasoning. "I am too mom." I pull Asher's arm and drag him down the hall with me towards the elevator, doing my best not to look back.
"How did she even hear about it?" I ask out loud. "I don't know, maybe your father reached out," Asher says and I narrow my eyes. "Do you think she purposely kept me away from him?"
"Maybe she knew where and who he was the whole time, but chose to make me miserable instead of letting me go," I voice and Asher shrugs.
"I really don't know baby. Let's just forget about it all for five seconds. I already have to go to back to work today and I'm going to be worrying about you nonstop," he says and I frown. "I'm sorry."
He shakes his head and sighs. "No, I'm sorry. I just need some silence for a bit. I'll have Ross bring you home. I'm going to head to the shop for a while," he tells me and kisses my cheek.
Before I can even get a word out, I'm left in the elevator alone as Asher walks out and away. "What the f**k?" I step out and look around for Ross, but of course I can't find him. "Need a ride?" My mom asks and I take a deep breath.
Fuck it. "Yeah that would be nice. You can bring me to GiGi's mechanic shop," I tell her and her eyes dim. "How do you know GiGi?" She asks with shock and I hold my breath.
