Sierra's POV
"Can you keep still?" Asher grumbles while holding me in his arms. "Yes, I can. So let me go. I am perfectly capable of standing by myself," I tell him and he chuckles, loosening his grip on me.
"Promise not to run?" He asks and I nod while mumbling a yes. He steps back and his arms drop to his side. For a nanosecond I'm tempted to run, but something about this man keeps me in my place. I'm full on unhealthily addicted to him.
"Do you want to go grab a bite to eat?" He asks and I can't help but laugh at the change of topic. "You're supposed to take a girl out to eat before you sleep with her," I tell him and he chuckles. "Technically we didn't even sleep," he says with a wink and I slap his arm.
"You know what I mean," I tell him with an eye roll. "Well I knew what I wanted and I went after it. Can you blame me?" He asks and I shake my head, my breath hitching as he steps closer to me, his body touching mine again.
"You feel that?" He asks, placing my hand over his beating heart. I nod and look at him with a parted mouth. "You drive me crazy. I don't care if we just met. Something about you has me addicted. You're mine Sierra and mine only." Took the words right out my mouth!
I lick my lips and he does the same, bending down closer to me. Our lips touch and I moan, opening my mouth wider for him, allowing him access. His tongue enters my mouth, dancing in sync with mine. Our kiss heats as my hands find their way into his hair, tugging roughly.
"Asher," I whisper when his mouth leaves mind. "Hmmm," he hums in response, his mouth soon attacking my neck.
"What baby?" He asks as I pull away from him. "Can we maybe get out of here," I suggest once more and he nods. "Of course. I'll go let Ross know we are leaving," he informs me. "Okay and make sure you tell your grandma too," I tell him with a wink.
"You met her?" He asks, a frown on his handsome face. "Yeah. Was I not supposed to?" I question, looking at him in confusion. "No! That's not it. I just wanted to introduce you," he tells me with a lopsided smile and I smile back. "Oh okay, well yeah. I met her and she's amazing," I say with a small laugh. "That she is."
He kisses me softly and pulls away, shaking his head. "Don't go anywhere. Stay put." I smile and laugh. "You basically told me the same thing twice. You just worded it differently." He smirks and steps closer to me. "I'm making sure you listen. Maybe I should say move and you'll stay put since you seem to do the opposite of what I tell you."
"That's because I'm not your dog. You can't command me to do something. Ask nicely and maybe I'd listen," I counter, my cheeks heating in anger. This guy sure knows how to push my buttons and not in a good way.
"Please stay put?" He asks and I shake my head. "Fine, just hurry up, because maybe I'll disobey and take a step," I tell him with an eye roll. "Don't test me Sierra," he warns and I cross my arms over my chest. "You know, I'm really not liking your attitude, Asher. Learn how to speak to a lady."
I turn around and walk over to the office, slamming the door behind me. "Don't walk away from me!" Asher yells, yet walking away. I roll my eyes again and sit down, sighing into my hands. I bite my lip and text Mallory, desperately needing my best friend.
Me - I miss you
Mallory - Where the hell are you? I heard Austin is dead and the police are looking for you?!
Me - What?! Since tf when?!
Mallory - Are you near a tv? Turn it on to channel 7!!
I toss my phone to the side and turn on the small tv in the office, flipping to the channel 7 news.
"This is Mark Wisenbutf with the five o'clock news. Austin Morelli's body has been found in a ditch near the Osphin Bridge. He was last seen with his girlfriend of six months, Sierra Rose. She is not a suspect, but if anyone sees her please contact the police. She is needed for questioning."
I turn the tv off and lean backwards, running my hands through my hair. "This cannot be happening," I mumble, looking around in disbelief. At least I'm not a suspect, or am I? You know how the police like to twist their words half the time.
"What can't be happening?" Ross questions. I look at the door and groan when I see him and Asher standing there in confusion. "They found him. His body," I mumble and Ross curses, earning a death glare form Asher. "I thought you dealt with it!" Asher screams. "I did!" He yells in defense, cursing under his breath once again.
"This isn't going to be good," I mutter, leaning back again. f**k my life!
