Chapter 4 - New Job.

Anna stretches her hands to the side as she yawns with her eyes closed.

' I haven't slept like this for a very long time '. Anna said to herself as she tried to get up from the...... ' Jess!!! where am I sleeping ?'. she asks herself as she opens her eyes, just to see herself lying down on someone's chest.

She sat down on the bed and saw that Alex was sleeping, and she was sleeping on his chest when she woke up. She tried freeing herself from Alex because his hands were on her waist.

She tried if she could remove his hands gently, but the hands did let go of her waist, instead, it dragged her closer to him, causing Anna to be very close to him.

Alex! please get up, I need to...... ' Damm it '. Anna muttered out as she remembered that she didn't agree to the terms and conditions of the company last night because immediately she went to the sitting room, she saw Emma who was probably waiting for her.

Emma forced Anna to spill out everything that happened, starting from the time Alex came back from his business trips.

Anna spilled out everything that happened because she had no other option and besides she was the only one who carried herself to the sitting room.

Anna still didn't feel embarrassed in telling Emma what happened between her and Alex. She also explained the movie that she had watched with Alex called ' LIFE IN A YEAR '.

After the long conversation she made with Emma, she finally decided to focus on her phone as she carefully read the terms and conditions.

" Good morning! ". Alex greeted Anna who has a swollen face. " Did something happen ?". he asked while sitting on the bed properly.

" Well, I am f**k up ". Anna said getting up as she removed the bed sheet that Alex is used to covering her body.

" Don't panic this time around. Okay!!!, I have already helped you out. I help you to just press I agreed, like why did you even have to waste your time instead of pressing agreed immediately you saw the mail ".

" I just want to know what their terms and conditions are, and besides I don't want to press agreed when I don't agree to anything ". she said, arranging her short white skirt.

" You should have at least press agreed, and please just go and take your bath, because I don't want you to be late. I will just be waiting for you right here, so please hurry up ". Alex said while smiling.

" Okay, I'll just take a quick bath so please wait for me ". Anna said as rushed inside the bathroom.

She pulled her clothes in a hurry and hung them on the towel rail.

Immediately she turned on the shower, she quickly opened her eyes under the water. ' What am I going to wear ?'.

She kept on thinking of any suitable clothing that she will be able to wear to work when she heard Alex shouting.

" Anna, you need to be a little bit fast, and in case you are looking for what to wear, then just check the back of the bathroom mirror. There's a key, so use the key to open the mirror and you are going to see your clothes there ". Alex stated.

' So this bathroom mirror has a drawer inside ?'. she asked herself while grabbing the keys, before opening the mirror.

She grabbed the clothes in the small fancy wardrobe, and quickly dressed. The cloth Alex left for her was a black plain skirt, and a white long sleeve with a black cover shoe attached to it.

She came outside from the bathroom fully dressed. " Can we go, I can just eat at lunchtime, I am nervous ".

" Hey! don't be nervous, okay! you are going to do great, and besides you have worked in this type of company before, so it is going to be fine ". Alex reassured her.

" I'm still nervous if you want me to be sincere, and I got appointed in a new environment, which I'm not familiar with ". Anna said Nervously as she kept on playing with her nails.

" Don't worry you are going to do great, and you are still my baby, so just keep your head high, and don't let anyone look down on you, you need to show everyone that you own the stage, and no one can push you out because you are a star ". Alex said, planting a kiss on Anna's forehead.

" You are advising me like if I am on a stage, I'm only going to work, and it doesn't have to do with the stage ".

" I just thought that giving you that type of advice would sound cool, and I intended on saying that to you once you start acting in a movie ". Alex said.

He held Anna's hand and led her outside the room.

" Awen! it's nice that you have been thinking about my future, I thought you forgot about my childhood dream ".

" I always store what you tell me in my heart, and I always wish that you will be able to live the life of your dream ". Alex said as he climbed down the staircase.

" Thanks for keeping me in your heart, I'm happy that you think about me ". Anna said smiling.

" Good morning Mom!!!! ". Anna and Alex both greeted Mrs. Joy.

" How were you tonight?'' she asked.

"I was good, but I don't know about Alex ". Anna said while letting go of Alex's hand and walking to the kitchen where she grabs a bottle of water.

" My night was great, but I didn't quite enjoy it, since Anna kept on dragging the bedsheet ". Alex said.

" Hahaha..... you are lying, and it's quite obvious because you aren't good at lying ". Anna said before opening the bottle of water and pouring it into her mouth.

" I'm not bad at lying, but I don't like lying because it doesn't suit me ".

" Are you both going to keep arguing or go to work? Anna, it's five minutes past five, and you know the drive from here to your work is quite long, don't even think that because Alex is the boss you can go late. I just googled about that company manager, and most people are saying that he's a strict person ". Emma said.

" When did you start working at Alex's company ?'' Mrs. Joy asked with a frown on her face.

" I just got appointed today, and I'm the only one who works on my application. I sent my degree and the company just accepted me, I didn't allow Alex to help me and this is all temporary, I will soon stop the job very soon ". Anna said.

" Ohh! please have to make sure you do your best Okay! ". Mrs. Joy said before going back to the phone on her lap.

" Where's Lisa ". Alex asked.

" She is probably sleeping, she went to her room very early yesterday, and since today I haven't seen her ". Emma replied.

" Please make sure to check on her, I am already going late, so I will just check up on her when I am back from work ". Anna said before working out of the house.

Alex drove his white car that was parked in his Mom's company. The car was a white Benz ( GLC 300 ) which have tinted glasses.

" Alex, can you drop me off at my working place, I will just take a cab when I am coming back home ".

" I will drop you off at your working place, and there is no need for you to take a cab back, because I will send someone to pick you up but if I'm free then I will just pick you up from work ".

" Thanks for the offer Alex, but I am going to be fine, and I need to visit my Mom, and maybe spend the full night with her because it has been a long time since I got to discuss things with my Mom, and she needs to know about my new job and how I'm faring ".

" Ohh! I will just drop you at your house when you close from work, at least it's still the same thing, and I am going to miss you ". Alex said as he pulled over the car.

" I will miss you too, but I still missed my Mom, so I am trying to play fair ". Anna said, removing her seat belt.

Her hands were at the car handle when Alex called her name.

" Honeypie, you are forgetting something ". Alex said.

" What am I forgetting ". Anna asked as she turned back to look at Alex.

" You are forgetting your daily routine as a girlfriend ". he said, staring at her intensely.

" Ahh! and what could that be ?" Anna asked Alex, raising a brow.

" You forgot to kiss me on the cheeks, I told you that your daily routine as my girlfriend is to kiss me every time you are going out, and whenever you wake up from bed ".

" You are cheesy, please I have to go.... I don't want to resume work with a bad report ". Anna said as she leaned closer to Alex and kissed his cheeks. " I have to go now! so see you later, probably in the evening ". she said before stepping out.

" Do your best Okay! ". Alex said as he whined down his car mirror, in order for him to see Anna's pretty face properly.

People who were passing by kept staring at Alex. Some were already murmuring true things.

' Is this not boss Alex ?'. some asked themselves while others kept on murmuring things that my ear couldn't comprehend.

" Alex!!! you're dragging much attention, so please start going, I'm going to do my best today ". she said smiling.

" Okay dear, see you later ".

Alex drove off the car while putting his hands outside the car window. He waves Anna, causing her to wave him back.

Anna breathes in and out before walking inside the company, with a smile on her face.

Immediately she got inside the company, Anna was received by someone yelling.

' She's here '. An average man said, and. everybody begins to panic, leaving Anna in total confusion. ' Who is here ?'. she asked herself but before she could access things that were happening, she already felt someone's hands on her wrist, who walked her to her desk in total speed.

The guy sat down close to her and started typing on his computer. " Don't you get the idea, you are supposed to pretend like you are doing something on your computer ". the guy said, and Immediately those words left his mouth, the entire place became extremely quiet.

A young fair lady walked inside in an elegant way. She wore a pair of black plain trousers and a white plain long sleeve.

She swayed her hips from left to right before walking towards the direction of the elevator.

" Is that our boss ?". Anna asked.

" Yes she's the manager of this company, but I advise all new people in this company to try their best to impress her, unless!!!! she doesn't mind kicking you out ". The young man said.
