Chapter 6 - Bossy boss.

"What the f**..... ". she wasn't able to finish her statement because the person standing at her front is no other person but Alex.

Alex wore a sky blue suit which complimented his sky blue suit trouser. Alex's hair was neatly combed to his left. His white long sleeve was well ironed, likewise his suit. His black shoe shines as if an oilment had been added to it.

"What did you want to say?". Alex asked Anna as he planted a kiss on her forehead not minding the other workers present.

Anna blushes hard as she feels his lips on her forehead. Her cheeks turned red all of a sudden, while a bunch of butterflies rejoiced in her stomach.

"I'm sorry, I wasn't aware that it was you, and besides why are you here and why on Earth would you kiss me in the presence of my co-workers". Anna asked, blushing.

"What's bad if I kiss my girlfriend on her forehead, and I don't care if they stare all day long. If I don't have the right to kiss my girlfriend then who else will".

"Hey stop it already, and why are you here, shouldn't you be at work?". Anna asked, blushing.

"I should have been busy with things at my office, but I just want to have lunch with my girlfriend, and also see her pretty face".

"Ohh! I guess your schedule is tight, so you should just have lunch at your workplace". Anna said while grabbing Alex's hands as they walked inside the eateries.

All the workers present who were staring at Alex when he was kissing me, suddenly pretended as if they were all in a hurry. Some began to press their phones, while others hurriedly walked out of the eateries.

"I just want to be the first person my honey pie is going to have for lunch at this eatery. By the way, what did you take for breakfast?". Alex asked while sitting at the table for two.

Anna freezes like an unmoving status, as she stares at Alex without uttering a word.

"Don't tell me you forgot to eat your breakfast". Alex said.

"I'm sorry, but I forgot to eat my breakfast, I was pretty preoccupied, and I don't want to make the manager of this company hate me, so I just forgot to eat, and besides I wasn't hungry that time".

"Anna you should have at least taken something, even a hand bugger won't hurt if you consume it". Alex said, caressing her hair.

"I will try not to forget next time".

Alex, who had been caressing her hair, planted a kiss on her forehead, causing all eyes to focus on them again.

"Alex this is a working place, not a place to display care, and I feel embarrassed". Anna said blushing.

"Why are you embarrassed?". Alex asked while calling out for a waitress.

"Hmm.... all eyes are on me, and a lot of people are now going to think I seduce you into working at one of your companies".

"What's bad in that, because I don't see anything bad if I helped you in becoming a worker in my company". Alex said with a frown on his face.

"I'm not saying it's bad if you help me, but I don't like it when people assume things that aren't true". Anna replied while collecting the menu from the waitress.

When the waitress came to the table to serve them, she got shocked just as she pictured the person sitting beside Anna.

The eateries don't serve workers, because the workers are the ones who get the food for themselves. But when Alex called for a waitress, the lady came to the table, probably planning on yelling at him, until she saw his face.

"Anna I don't get you most times, why do you always feel embarrassed about me, why do you even care about what people say". Alex asked with an angry voice as he used his hands to discharge the waitress who was waiting for him to place an order.

"Alex! I'm not going to do this right, I'm seriously not going to argue with you because I don't have anything to say. Alex, I thought you came here to have lunch with me and this is what I'm getting. Alex please just have lunch on your own". Anna said as she left her sit while heading back to her office.

She was so hurt because of Alex's behavior, like why would he have to get up if she doesn't want people to think that Alex is the one who helped her to gain access to this work.

"Are you done with your lunch?". Moses, who was sitting in his chair, asked.

"I don't feel like eating". Anna replied as she put on her computer.

"Did something happen?". he asked while putting the file on his hand aside.

"No, I'm fine, thanks for asking". Anna said trying to sound normal which failed her.

"Ohh..... but do you by any chance know that wicked boss, the real owner of this company?".

"Yeah I do! and please stop asking me questions. And that guy you just called wicked isn't wicked and yeah just to make things clear, he's my boyfriend". Anna defended Alex while yelling so that in case Moses has dirt on his ear, her word can still be able to pass through.

"Hey! please chill it was just a question". Moses said while backing off, while his hands were raised as a means of surrender.

"I know it's a question, but I don't like it when you say my boyfriend is a wicked boss". Anna said.

Moses was short of words as he quickly grabbed the file which he had set aside before and placed it in front of his face while pretending as if he was busy reading.

Alex had followed Anna, but Anna wasn't aware. When he heard her defending him that he wasn't wicked he became so touched. Anna has defended him countless times, and now she's also defending him.

He couldn't go inside her office because he had done wrong to her. Despite what he just did to her, she still went ahead to defend him.

He turned his back and bumped into someone, which was no other person but his stepsister.

"What are you doing here?". Cloe asked Alex.

"Is this company yours?. Don't I have the right to visit my company whenever I want to". Alex asks as he walks past Cloe, preventing himself from hearing what Cloe is about to say.

Cloe shakes her head sideways as she walks inside Anna's office.

"Good day ma!". Moses greeted her and likewise Anna.

She still feels awkward greeting Cloe who seems to be her age mate, but what can she do about it, because Cloe is automatically her boss, which means Anna must give her more respect.

"Anna, I would like to see you at my office as soon as you close from work, and this time make sure you don't keep me waiting, or else......!".

She wasn't through with her statement before walking out of the office.

"Are you sure that nothing happened?". Moses couldn't help but ask.

Anna doesn't even know if she will be able to reply to Moses because something happened between her and Alex, and not between Cloe and her.

"I don't know....... but I think nothing happened between the manager and me". Anna answered Moses' question.

"It's strange that you have to use the word ' I think '. because if something occurred between both of you, then you shouldn't be thinking". Moses said, rolling his eyes.

Anna didn't answer Moses again but continued what she was doing. She pretended as if she wasn't thinking about the reason why Cloe wants to see her.

Her mind was telling her that Cloe doesn't like the idea that Alex came to visit her at her working place. Anna kept on thinking of different reasons why Alex had acted angry, and why Cloe wants to see her.

She asked Moses if the company had a first aid box, and to her surprise the first aid was under her office chair all along.

She opened the first aid box and grabbed a painkiller, which she drank with the water given to her by Moses.

Anna rested her head on her desk as she tried to clear her head, but immediately her head touched the desk with her eyes closed, she heard someone calling her name.

"Miss Anna, the manager would love to see you at her office as soon as possible". the speaker from the ceiling echoed.

'What's all this'. Anna murmured inwardly as she got up from her seat with a frown plastered on her pretty face.

"Did I do something this time ?". Anna asked Cloe not minding that Cloe has the power to fire her.

"Where were you sleeping before". she asked, pointing at the chair for Anna to sit.

"No.... kind of! I'm just exhausted, and I didn't have any idea that today would turn out to be a mess.

"Ohh! sorry about Alex, I don't think he's himself right now". Cloe apologies.

"I know! but I didn't expect this from him today. So why did you send it to me?".

"I need your help right now". Cloe said with a pleading voice.

"What type of help are you looking for?". Anna asked.

"Can you please follow me to my house? I have a date at six o'clock today, but I am nervous because all the dates I do go to always turn out to be a disaster".

"I am still busy and it's not yet my closing time, so I don't think I can help you". Anna replied as she got up from the seat offered to her by Cloe.

"Hey! please Anna just does this for me, and this is the first time I'm asking a favor from you". Cloe pleaded as she grabbed Anna's palm while pleading.

"I can't help you even if you want me to close from work by this time, because I haven't gone on a date for a long time now, or just to be sincere I haven't gone on a date before". Anna replied stating the truth to Cloe.

"I know that you haven't gone on a date once, but I need some few tips from you like how and when I should talk to my date, and about those laughing stuff".

"So you are asking me to teach you how to laugh and talk ?". Anna asked, raising a brow at Cloe.

"Hmm..... not really! I just need to learn how to talk like you on this date, because a lot of my date complains that I'm always bossy, which isn't true, so I guess behaving like you a little for today will make me less bossy I guess".

"Ohh, I understand what you want from me now, but I have to be sincere with you because I can't hide the truth from you when you have already said it, but still think it's a lie".

"I don't get it, what do you mean?". Cloe asked, confused.

"I mean that you are bossy, and it's a bad thing because most guys can't keep up with someone like this, especially when you are on a date with them". Anna said.
