Chapter Sixteen “The Goddess” Amira POV I wake up to faint echoes of pain pulsing throughout me, which instantly reminds me just what happened before I passed out. I reach my hand up to my neck, surprised to feel that the new marks have already scarred over. Perks of accelerated healing, I guess. With difficulty, I manage to sit up, seeing that the bed is devoid of everyone but me. There’s a whole-body feeling of weakness that makes me want to curl up and go right back to sleep, but Meda isn’t where Erebus left her in a pillow of forts, and I need to make sure she’s okay. So, I force myself to get out of the bed, even though I’m a bit unsteady on my feet.
