Chapter Twenty Two
“Interrogation”
Amira POV
Several hours pass after I go to my room, but I can’t manage to calm myself down or fall asleep. Meda’s sleeping soundly in her crib in the corner of my bedroom, oblivious to the chaos that went on earlier and to the fact that I unlocked something new and in myself because she was threatened. She has her own nursery down the hall from my room, but I don’t want to let her out of my sight after the fight that took place.
I also know that it’s a matter of time before I’m called down to the dungeon, for a chance to get at the rogues who decided trespassing on Blood Warrior territory was a good idea. I mean, really, the pack name alone should be a deterrent. Blood Warrior—what could an invader expect except for the bloodiest war of their life?
