CHAPTER 9

The Reunion

SETH'S POINT OF VIEW

I've come to hate alphas ever since I can remember because although they're humans like me, they are vile.

All of them.

Until, I met Sun. I don't know what truly happened or what I was thinking when I agreed to marry him but...

...it might just be the right choice. I think.

I think... I think because —

"SEEEEETH! Look at this~!"

Because right now, I can almost feel my soul slowly leaving my body because of exhaustion and stress. I thought this was over yesterday. I thought wrong!

Sun quickly but gently grabbed my wrist and guided me to the chair he was sitting on where his laptop is laid too.

My eyes widen before I turned to Sun who's grinning from ear to ear. He looks proud. "Why...?"

"Teehee," he chuckles before he scratched his head, "I remembered how you liked stuff like this from before so I ordered you some." He answered proudly but with a hint of embarrassment which I don't how it's possible.

He was talking about the silverware set he ordered online. Compared to what he spent yesterday, the silverware cost $5,000 only. Only, cheaper compared to before.

He bought me a silverware! "Thank you..." I thanked him wholeheartedly while staring at the laptop's monitor.

When I didn't receive a reply, I turned to Sun but he's looking at me with a fazed expression as if he's lost in his thoughts. "Sun...?"

He blinked before he smiled, "Of...course. You're welcome, Seth. Always."

I smiled at him and he did the same. His eyes, compared to other alphas, are gentle and there's something about his eyes that shines along with the changes in his expression. I haven't seen Sun angry or anything of that sort, hopefully, I won't need to see him like that because I'm used to this side of him. Cheery, honest, gentle, and considerate, a little clueless too, something totally unexpected from an alpha but completely expected of Sun.

If it's Sun, then... Is it possible?

Can I... trust again?

"Eherm!" Sun cleared his throat before he diverted his eyes somewhere.

Oh! To think we were staring at each other for long! I didn’t notice because I was lost in my thought but that was embarrassing!

"Have you seen your studio?" He asked changing the topic.

"I did. I didn't know the renovation will start today. I was so surprised when I woke up with a lot of people in the hallways." I admitted while scrolling up and down.

Sun sat next to me while looking at the laptop too. "Yes, I'm sorry I startled you. I wanted to surprise and boast about how quick my employees are and I guess I was successful!" I can hear the smirk in his voice even without me looking.

I chuckle. "You sure did. Congratulations, I guess?"

He let out a hearty laugh. "Why, thank you, my wife!"

... Wife?

My eyes widen and then unconsciously turned to him, he too looked at me, slowly, his eyes widen as if he realized what he just called me.

"A-ah... My... I have..." He sighs and looked down, "I'm sorry—"

"It's okay!" Ack! I unintentionally cut whatever he wanted to say and also raised my voice in panic. "I mean, it's fine. I, I'll have to get used to it so... Uh, it's okay. I was just surprised, don't be sorry."

Sun looked up to me and his face beamed. He's back to normal. Phew! I know Sun is older than me but with how he acts, I feel like I'm the older one. I'm surprised by the fact that I don't mind how he acts because I like him better this way. It's surprising how a man can both look cute and sexy.

ACK! What did I just admit to myself?! How can I admit that so easily?! I'm always having a hard time figuring out what I think of a person but it was easy for me to admit Sun is s e x y?

Oh my...geez. What in the world is happening to me?

After our little awkward moment, everything went smoothly, I was able to pry Sun away from the laptop to stop him from buying things that he thinks I might want or need, in his vocabulary. Mind you, it was a battle between me stopping him gently or just simply splitting his laptop into two — of course, the latter is simply an option only I thought to myself for self-satisfaction. Although it was stressful watching Sun shopping mindlessly online, it was fun watching him get fascinated by new discoveries too as if he's a newborn chick.

I opted to write in my room but since the workers are busy renovating the room I chose to stay in the garden instead.

"Here," Sun placed a plate of chocolate-strawberry cookie with a glass of juice.

"Thank you," I voice my appreciation taking a bite. It was delicious, as always. As expected from Sun. Yes, he can cook and he can bake. I wonder if there's something he can't do?

I had received a text message from Alex informing me of the time and venue of the reunion a little while ago, good thing he did! I almost forgot to inform Sun again because I was too preoccupied writing.

Sun is not saying anything, he's just watching me write, it wasn't bothersome or awkward as I thought it would be since he would look down from to time or just look around. As if it's his first time in his own garden.

"I'll be going out tomorrow at 2 PM because of a class reunion with my classmates from high school," I informed him while placing a bookmark on a website that generates random names. I'm glad I've come across this website since names are important for my books and unlike other websites, this one is easy to navigate and has a simple interface.

"Reunion? Sounds nice." He commented while looking at me. I pause from typing when I felt his gaze intensified. Which means he has something to say. This kind of 'gaze' from him I was able to tell from the past few days since Sun would look at me as if I'm an experiment sample if he wants to say something. I don't know if he noticed how analytical he looks when he does that.

"Tell me what it is, Sun," I threw him a sideways glance with my eyebrows perked up, interested in whatever he wanted to say.

"Oh, it's nothing important, really. I'd just like to ask if it's okay having bodyguards with you."

Bodyguards? I stared at him intensely, he on the other hand started to squirm in his seat feeling the pressure of my gaze but he did not look away. Again, this side of him lets me forget the fact that he's an alpha. An alpha squirming and feeling uncomfortable under an omega's gaze is unheard of! It was supposed to be the other way around.

I heaved a sigh before I shifted my eyes to the laptop in front of me. A bodyguard, with 's' to accompany me in that class' reunion?

"I don't think that will be a good idea," I mumbled loud enough for Sun to hear. Personally, I'd love to have someone to keep me safe but bodyguards are a bit too much. It would be uncomfortable and I'll be questioned by those people if that happens. I don't want that. I don't want them asking me about my life because it'll become the topic of their gossip for sure and will sure spread up to the other universe.

"... I see," He muttered under his breath. He turned to me again, "how about I, ah, no, never mind." He shakes his head.

Ah. How troublesome. I don't like seeing the defeated expression on his face and the light in his eyes dimming.

"I'll send you the location and you're free to use GPS on me. How about that?"

His face shines with his bright smile. Relief and happiness showed. "Really?!" I nodded my head. Cute. How cute.

Ack! What am I thinking again?!

"If you're fine with it then I'll give it my all. Clark," like some sort of ninja, Clark appeared quickly.

I think butlers have a special skill to become invisible considering how good they are at hiding.

The next day, Sun insisted on driving me to the hotel where the reunion is held.

"Are you sure you're not forgetting something?" I nodded my head, "how about the gift you're supposed to give your teachers?"

"I have it with me,"

"How about the..." And Sun continued asking me questions, non-stop until we reached the hotel.

Other people may find constant questions like his annoying but I find him amusing and cute. It was adorable how attentive he is over a small detail.

"Don't forget to drink your suppressants and if anything happens call me, okay?" See? He sounds like my biological mother.

I couldn't help but chuckle, "I will. Thanks for driving me here,"

Sun's eyes widen before he looked away clearing his throat while Clark, who is driving me let out a low chuckle. Huh...?

"W-Well, I'm glad I did. So beautiful."

"... What...?" What's he mumbling about?

Sun shakes his head then smiled at me, brightly. "Nothing! Get inside already! The sun's out!"

"You are..." I replied mindlessly. When I realized what I did, I quickly bid goodbye to them but I can still Clark's chuckle. Seriously, what is so funny?

KUNAWRON HOTEL

When Axel sent me the location, I looked up this hotel to know more about it. Yes, I'm paranoid. Regardless, I have a very particular uneasiness with establishments like this so I have to know what this hotel is, this could be a den of demons for all I know. Again, yes, I'm paranoid.

Based on my research, Kunawron is a company of hotels and restaurants. Apparently, based on the reviews, they serve equally and disregards the hierarchy between alphas, betas, and omegas. Is what I heard but to see is to believe.

A pair of alpha and omega entered the hotel before me and was welcomed with a smile.

"Welcome to Kunawron,"

This... So this is what a hotel lobby looks like in person. I look up mesmerized by the shining chandeliers. Amazing. How did they place that up there? There are alphas, betas, and omegas around the lobby but the pheromones they're emitting are almost non-existent. With how my sharp at picking up pheromones, this almost feels comfortable because this place doesn't seem to have any pheromones. I wonder what they did for this to be possible?

"Excuse me, you're in the way."

I look behind me only to be greeted by another pair but this time an omega and beta based on their pheromones. I slightly bowed feeling guilty. "I'm sorry," I was too amazed by how the hotel looked.

The omega raised his eyebrows then looked at me from head to toe, then he looked away. "Tsk,"

Ah... I step away from their way and looked around some more although I couldn't help but look at the back of the omega but the beta with him is looking at me so I looked away again. Ack! I hope he didn't think I'm interested in the omega with him. He was just really intriguing, beautiful. Omegas tend to be beautiful although I'm just average compared to them. Still, that man was the most beautiful omega I've ever seen. He was... alluring.

Maybe that's why that beta couldn't help feeling threatened by me? I shouldn't have given that omega a second look because I could be in danger.

THIRD PERSON'S POINT OF VIEW

Seth walked towards the reception unaware of the eyes following him.

"Hey look, that omega..."

"Yeah, I know. Should I ask him?"

The man glared at his buddy, "I saw him first..!"

Seth, totally oblivious of the gawking and admiring eyes feasting on him asked the receptionist. "Ah, may I ask what floor the restaurant is?"

The lady receptionist gawked. She felt her face heated up when the man in front of her called her attention again. She cleared her throat. "I... I'm sorry...! The restaurant is on the fourth floor."

Seth smiled politely, "thank you," and he left.

The receptionist breathed out the breath she was holding before the other receptionist crowded around her.

"Ack...! Did you see that? How could a man look... like that?" One lowly exclaimed blushing looking at Seth's direction.

The other agreed. "And that smile! Sinful! So beautiful!"

"Did you hear his voice...? Oh my god, he's not real. Right?"

Seth, still oblivious rode the elevator with ease because he's alone. He preferred it since he'd feel uncomfortable with other people in an enclosed space but he doesn't understand why the people in the elevator's entrance seem hesitant to ride with me.

They must be uncomfortable since he's an omega. That's a first...

Seth texted Viv about where he is when his phone suddenly rang.

Sun Calling...

'Ah... How should I greet him?'

"Hey, Jaxson! Here, dude!"

The man named Jaxson, his dark hair as dark as his suit, diverted his green eyes to the voice's direction. It's Lucas.

Jaxson stride while the others looking at him are in awe. There's no doubt. Jaxson de Capille is an alpha borne from a wealthy old family of alphas. His physique and aura carry that of a nobleman, a man who sits atop.

Lucas grinned. "Finally man, why are you so late, huh?"

Jaxson looked around the table but the familiar face is nowhere. "Somewhere..." He answered uninterestedly.

Lewis grinned at him before he whispered to Jaxson, "your wife's nowhere to be seen. Will he come?"

Jaxson glared at the grinning man but did not answer. Will Seth come? They'll find out soon enough.

Some tried to converse with Jaxson but his replies were short and are obviously uninterested so none pushed to talk to him, the girls are another story though.

"Some people just can't seem to understand that Jaxson is not interested in talking to you." Adelle pointed out looking at the girls trying to talk to Jaxson. She raised her eyebrows, "I mean, how thick are your faces, girls?"

The three girls had no choice but to return back to their seats, embarrassed.

Evans arrived a while later with Axel. Jaxson tensed expecting to see Seth, his wife next to the two but Seth still hasn't arrived.

Jaxson heaved an irritated sigh. Lucas, who noticed it chuckles. "Dude, chill. You'll scare him. You wouldn't want him running away now, do you?"

Jaxson knew he had to reign himself, he was successful in doing so for the past years that they were in the same class together but right now, it’s taking everything of his self-control not to claim the omega once and for all especially after having Seth disappeared from him. It’s difficult but he has to control himself. He won’t let Seth slip away from him again. Not again.

Evans shakes his head while smirking gazing at the obviously impatient fool, Jaxson. The man is his friend since high school and their group knows what type of man Jaxson is behind the image other people have of him. He’s an obsessed beast willing to do anything to have what he wants and that said beast has been obsessing over the same omega for years now. Evans chuckles just thinking whether Seth, the only omega in their class who attended their reunion. The first, the one and only. Well, considering most of their class are alpha female and some males, it’s to be expected that the other omegas wouldn’t want to join. It’s actually a surprise that Seth Lucero, hailed as one of the most handsome if not beautiful omegas back in high school joined this reunion.

The door opened and there entered the class advisor, Mrs. Amelia Reyes, and also one of their subject teacher Sir Ethan Valmoria.

“Ah! Class!” Mrs. Reyes exclaimed delighted while the ladies of their class hurried to assist their former class adviser but she declined, “oh, no girls, there’s no need for that. I have here Seth with me.”

That sentence alone made the entire table dead silent while Adelle, Lewis, Lucas, and Evans turned their gazes to Jaxson whose eyes are staring only in one direction, and when the four followed the direction Jaxson’s eyes are, Adelle’s eyes widen and she gasped.

Eventually, almost all males and females at the table had their eyes slightly wide upon seeing Seth Lucero.

When they were in high school, Seth was the embodiment of an omega, physically perfect, he can be labeled as both beautiful in men’s eyes and handsome for women. He was always quiet and always kept his personal space, almost untouchable but no one tried to bully Seth Lucero. No one dared, no one tried. The reason? It’s literally because of the title that he carried back then. For those who admired Seth Lucero he was the ‘Omega Prince.’ Yeah, cliché and cringey, but they were high school students, they had that phase every once in a while, but, Seth does live up to that reputation, He was quiet and unapproachable, ladies find him mysterious because of that while men find him dangerous, and beautiful because of that.

Having said all of that, the man himself is not aware of that fact. He was too busy minding his own business. This is the (sad) reality.

“He’s more handsome than we were in high school…” whispered one of the girls to the other. These girls who admired Seth had their own world afterward, eyeing him intently but not once did Seth Lucero turned to them.

On the other hand,

Seth didn’t look around since if he does, the person who will meet his eyes will most likely start a conversation with him, he doesn’t want that to happen. At least not yet. He wanted to talk to his teachers, them who he considered his savior back then. Aside from that, he feels conscious because his outfit seemed out of the place. He wore a gray turtleneck sweater covered with a navy blue blazer paired with his navy blue jeans and leather shoes. It was thanks to Viv that he somehow looked presentable, far from his usual get-up which is loose shirts and sweatpants. Still, he feels uncomfortable being in the presence of his former classmates.

Seth, with Mrs. Reyes and Sir Ethan, were ushered to an empty seat between Mrs. Reyes and Axel, a set-up which he requested.

“Man, don’t you look good!” Axel complimented earning an embarrassed chuckle from Seth. That was too loud that the other people at the table surely heard Axel. Ack! He’s become more uncomfortable more than ever.

Seth is hopelessly unaware of how the people at the table are gazing at him with admiration, both ladies and gentlemen. The educators, Mrs. Reyes and Sir Ethan looked at each other, then they chuckle. Seth hasn’t changed since then, he’s still oblivious of how people admire him, still awkward and shy unaware of his own charisma.

The group started to order while Seth and Axel continued their small talk, unaware of five eyes boring in their direction. One of them, intensely gazing at the oblivious Seth.

OMEGAVERSE PREGNANCY:

Female Alpha: They can impregnate other females may it be alpha, beta, or omega. Can also impregnate male omegas (Yes, instead of the female bearing the child, it's the male omega, only in a Female Alpha and Male Omega relationship)

Female Beta: Their reproduction system works like how "normal" female RS works. They can be impregnated but cannot impregnate.

Female Omega: They can be impregnated as well, especially and normally by alphas both alpha male and female, they can be impregnated by beta but it's rare while they can also be impregnated by omega male which is even rarer. Why? Basically, in this omegaverse, this book, male omegas' (role) purpose is to be impregnated by alphas so it's rare for male omegas to impregnate female omegas. Note: Female Omegas cannot impregnate like Female Alphas.

Male Alphas: They impregnate and cannot be impregnated. Never. That's they are considered to stand atop.

Male Betas: They can impregnate beta females (normally) and alpha females.

Male omega: can rarely impregnate another female omega; they are generally and normally impregnated by an alpha, male or female. Because of their sensitive reproduction system, more sensitive than that of a female omega RS, male omegas can normally be impregnated by an alpha male. PLEASE UNDERSTAND WHAT OMEGAS ARE IN THIS BOOK.

An omega males reproduction system and s*x organ is very, very sensitive and is normally only compatible with an alpha. THIS IS HOW THIS OMEGAVERSE WORKS IN THIS BOOK.
