The Sudden Visitor
SETH'S POINT OF VIEW
Ahh...
This feels nice. I never thought today could be this tiring. I was hoping for a relaxing day with Sun but it obviously didn't go as planned. What was I thinking acting like that to Adelle Molina? Did I do the right thing? But she was after him! It would reflect negatively on Sun's reputation if I let her run her mouth like that while I, the wife, is present. Also, my... It didn't feel good listening to her like that offering Sun her body. I'm here, what would Sun need her for?
Oh my god. I buried my face on the pillow embarrassed of the thoughts running in my head.
I glanced at the bedside table to check the time. It's almost 8 PM. Sun told me he will finish his meeting at 9, approximately. While waiting, I grab my phone, the one Sun bought for me without me knowing. It's the latest model of the known phone brand. Err, I remember Viv telling me how expensive this brand's phone. I was thinking of buying a cheaper one but Sun does not want me to. He specifically told me to spend his money however I want to. It's a bit scary how he disregards money like that but I guess that's to be expected. He worked for it, it's his money so what's the use of money other than to spend it. Easier said than done. I'm not used to spending money on pricy things.
I sighed before dialing Viv's phone number. It rang for about five times before she picked it up. "Hi, what took you so long?" I asked.
[Hey b***h. I was cooking. For myself. Because I live alone. Unlike someone I know, I don't have a doting husband.] She chirped over the phone.
My face burned. What the heck! Was I always this shy? No, no, I wasn't. It's just... whenever Sun is mentioned, I can't help. It's unfamiliarity to me and it doesn't help that Viv sounded so teasing over the phone!
I cleared my throat. "W-Well, I guess you're not as lucky as me." I retorted proudly.
[... What?] Viv trailed off before she burst out laughing on the other line. I placed the phone away from my ear because her laugh is very loud, like an evil witch. How did she and I become best friends again? [Hahaha... Haha—pfft— oh my gosh Seth, was that you? Did you really said that?! You Seth?]
I frowned. This... b***h. "What? So what if I said that?" I asked sounding a little irritated and smug but I was smiling.
[Oh my, oh my, so you've finally accepted your marriage life. Isn't that right, Mrs...?]
I cleared my throat, "Clawstone. Mrs. Clawstone." I stated proudly.
[Yes, Mrs. Clawstone. So...] She fell silent.
"What...?"
[Did you do the deed yet?]
I stilled unable to answer. How am I supposed to answer that? Should I tell her? Oh yeah, I should tell her over the phone than tell her face to face. Viv is dangerous when she's excited. Very dangerous.
I composed myself before I answered. "Yeah. We did."
TOOT TOOT TOOT
I checked the phone when I heard that delayed sound and just as I thought, the call ended. Wow. She just hung up on me while I was ready to tell her that we finally did it! I don't mean to brag but as I said, it's better to tell this to Viv over the phone than personally.
I was about to put the phone back when it started ringing, Viv's name on the display. What's with her?
"What hap— "
"You. You and I. We need to talk."
My forehead creases, "We are talking right now Viv."
"No. I mean personally. I want the juicy details. I'll give you one week. One. Week. We. Will. Meet." She hung up again and called again. "One week..." she whispered before hanging up again.
I stared at my phone expecting it to ring again but fortunately, it did not.
"Haaa..." I sighed. To think I almost thought I'm safe from the disaster named Viv. Shouldn't have counted the chicks before the eggs hatched. I expected too much of my luck. Gah!
The next morning, I woke up alone. I know I usually sleep alone but last night was different, Sun wanted to sleep with me, we just slept, no more no less. Despite everything that has happened to me, even though I suffer from nightmares sometimes, I am still able to sleep peacefully especially whenever I'm tired, it is something that I am thankful for, but last night... Last night was different. Yes, I was a little tired but it's unlike the past where I just passed out from exhaustion, still, I was able to sleep peacefully, comfortably, I didn't have a nightmare last night although I forgot what I dreamt about, still, it was pleasant.
I glanced at my side where Sun laid and sighed. It's almost 9 AM, he must have left for work already. I didn't have the chance to say goodbye. How disappointing.
Ugh! I facepalmed. I am acting like a clingy wife, I'm not usually like this!
I need to sort my thoughts first. I caught a glimpse of my laptop and smiled. Right, I should just write today while waiting for Sun since I don't have anywhere else that I need to be. Suddenly feeling motivated, I leap away from the bed and run to the bathroom when it suddenly opened revealing a freshly bathed Sun.
"Ack," I covered my eyes. I'm once again attacked by his dazzling appearance and killer smile. Of course, his body is as dazzling as his face, in more ways than one.
"Morning, wife," he greeted while smiling.
I jolted before I cleared my throat. "Morning. I thought you left for work since it's already 9." He usually leaves for work around 9 AM sometimes earlier.
He chuckles, "I can't leave for work without telling you. Wanna have breakfast with me?"
I stared at him before I smiled. "Sure, if you insist."
What is this feeling? We always have breakfast together, we've kissed and already had s*x yet... what is this tingly feeling? Seeing him look at me with those eyes... it's making me feel all giddy and tingly. My heart is beating so fast I'm scared...
As usual, Sun would serve me my breakfast. I just let him be because if I don't, he turns into a gloomy puppy. This has become some sort of ritual whenever the two of us eat that Sun will put foods on my plate. The reason is simple; he thinks I eat too little.
"This... this is more than enough..." I can hear the sound of my voice almost begging. My plate... My plate is full!
Sun's glanced at my plate then place a bowl of soup. Meat. Vegetable. Soup. "There! Eat well, Seth!" He beamed. As if possessed I grab the spoon and fork and while smiling started eating.
"Yeah. It's very delicious." Especially with Sun's smile as the dessert.
"I'm going now. See you later Seth!" He said waving at me from his car. I waved back chuckling. We've been doing this for twenty minutes now. He's late. Super. Late.
"I'll call you later, I promise!"
His face brightened before he rolled the window up, then rolled it down again. "CALL ME LATERRRR!!!" He shouted sounding desperate.
"Haaa!" Clark stressfully sighed from beside me.
"I will call you!!! You have to go to work!!!" Please Sun, your butler will soon drive you to work himself if you don't leave.
I was able to convince him to go, after five minutes, Sun was reluctant to leave but he still did. I told Clark that I will be staying in my workroom to write. Ah, I have to contact my editor too. She emailed me regarding the serialization of the novel I finished writing last year. I did not expect it to receive such support from my readers to the point that it will be recognized by entertainment companies that are interested in making it a movie. It wasn't part of the plan so I'm still reluctant, besides, I'm planning on making full-colored comics out of it but since I'm working on this other series, it might take some time. Maybe I should hire an artist for that book? I can post in my blog about it or ask one of the artists I've worked with before.
1,500 words
I drank the cold coffee on my side and continued writing. Hah, now that I'm feeling motivated while writing, 5,000 words or even 10,000 words are not impossible feats. That is if I'm motivated. I swore to myself when I started writing that I will not, never, I will never write a chapter if I don't feel like writing. I won't force myself to write because the result is disastrous. I've learned from my mistake before.
The constant clicking of my laptop's keyboard is the only sound that enveloped the room. Staring intently while thinking of what my characters will say, do and think got me occupied that I almost jumped off of my seat when a knock sounded from the door.
"ye..." err, my voice sounded raspy. I cleared my throat. "Yes?"
"Young Master Seth...Master Edmondo wishes to talk to you." It's Clark's voice.
Signore Edmondo? I opened the door wearing a confused expression. "Who is... he?"
Clark stared at me before he heaved a deep sigh. "I am truly sorry. Young Master Sun and I did not expect that Master Edmondo will fly from Italy to meet you." This is the first time I'm seeing Clark stressed out like this. Sure, he's stressed about Sun's stubbornness and laziness sometimes but he never looked like this. Clark sighed again. "Master Edmondo is Young Master Sun's grandfather." Clark looked at me directly in the eye with a serious expression, "and he wants to talk to his grandson's wife."
To be continued...
