We had the warriors beside us so I knew we were safe but the Luna’s overprotective behaviour caused me to wonder if I was in immediate danger. The intruder that they had found was a spy. He had been injured, but insisted on making a proposition in exchange for talking.
“Shouldn’t we wait for Jackson to come back?” I whimpered trying to get out of going down that horrible cell. I remembered when I was kept in there before and it freaked me out to imagine seeing it again.
Matilda squeezed my hand and gave me a reassuring smile that everything was fine.
The warriors opened the cells and led us along until we came to the end of the corridor.
