“Why have you bought that girl here?” My sense of hearing was sti on point. I could hear so well. I listened to their conversation shamelessly. I did not look their way because I was afraid of what they might do.
I felt so stupid to have allowed myself to be so easily led by someone I had literally met. I was so far away from my home that I was beginning to wonder how or why I had talked myself into this crazy situation.
