I woke up and yawned, stretching my body out and blinking as the beautiful sunshine was peaking though the slightly opened curtains. I snuggled back under the duvet and closed my eyes. Last nights events came flooding back and it was as if my whole mind was a light switch. I sat up and looked around the bedroom. I was alone. I knew my mate had been here because his scent was all over the place, but why had he left me all on my own? There was a soft knock on the door and a head appeared round it the second I gave them permission to enter. “Amelia.” It was Sian. She bounded across the room to the bed and jumped on it excitedly. Like a little kid at Christmas. I smiled at her and we hugged. “The alpha has gone to speak to his parents. His Beta told me I could come and see you.” Sian
