I stepped through the open double doors to The Ski Bar and stopped. The lights were on in the place, so it was less like a bar as people roamed around the space. There were a couple of bartenders, but they weren't doing their fancy tricks, and no loud music pumped through the club side. I squeezed between two older men and ordered a beer. Drink in hand, I found a table with six barstool chairs and took a seat. The others entered the bar and looked around until their eyes found me. Dan smirked and Ava shook her head. I refused to look at Paulo and Chance to see their reactions. "Are you with that group?" a sweet voice asked. I turned and found a girl from another table looking right at me. She was pretty in a dainty way, with bright blonde hair and big blue eyes. "Who?" I asked.
