Chapter 8: Matrix and Mira

      The way August rushed out of the room as if he was being chased by something further confirmed Matrix's cryptic clues. Something was really up with his cousin and whatever it was, he would stop at nothing until he discovers everything; all of it. He smirked before getting up. He adjusted his expensive navy blue suit before walking out from the room. Of course he knew just who to lure into his plan. Both heavens knew just how deep in love Mira was with August and he knows just how to manipulate her into doing his bidding. He just have to put her to it and then sit down for the good news with the right words put across.

       Just that he'd to hurry so he could catch up to her, Matrix thought as he hurried after the lady in question; the only one that could actually succeed in taunting August and somehow remain unscathed with her head held high. It's still a mystery that he couldn't seem to understand no matter how much he tried to. He increased his pace and just as the lady was about to turn to the hallway that leads towards the elevator, he immediately caught up with her. He knew exactly where she was headed, he just needs to infuse her brain with the right words before she enters into the office of that cold cousin of his.

He gave her a sign to follow him discreetly, it was better to be careful and avoid the suspicious eyes of the others. He knew the best place they could stay and have a nice and yet brief talk; it was located on the top most of the buildings.

      She looked at him confusedly but still followed after him.

"What do you want?" The fisty lady rolled her eyes impatiently as they got to the roof top

     "Oh-hh.... there's no need to sound so angry. Are you in such a hurry to meet him, hm?" Matrix teased with a smirk at the corner of his lips.

"hiss....since you have nothing important to talk about, I better be on my way" The lady said and with a sharp step, she walked towards the door.

       Matrix grimace ruefully as he caught a good view of her killer curves that was nicely given away by the white pencil skirt she was putting on, the heels on her white and long legs was transparent as it potrayed the sexiness in the awesome pair. Surely, his cold hearted cousin was missing something so palatable and alluringly sexy. What was so wrong with playing around since he wasn't even going to marry her? His destined bride has already been determined after all.

     "Let go of me" The lady tried to shake off the hand that was restricting her movement by her wrist.

"Calm down, ok. I know that you're in a hurry to meet him"

"Since you already know that, why are you still holding me back?" She rolled her long sexy lashes.

      "What if I tell you that I have something that might finally suddue him outrightly?"

"What do you mean?" She folded her arms to her sexy big chest. Matrix eyes unconsentiously followed the movement of her hand to her chest. "What are you looking at?" She hissed in irritation.

And this succeeded in snapping the lost man back to reality.

Matrix shook his head in denial as he said in retaliation. "There's really nothing interesting to look at your boring body"

      Unknowingly accepting the fact that he was staring at her body.

"So you were actually looking at my body, huh?" She asked with her brows quirked up, a smirk playing on her lips that Matrix couldn't help but wonder how it would look like if those red stains were kissed cleanly off of her them. Will it still look so tantalizing and captivating just like it looked now? He wondered.

     "Cough, cough....." Matrix tried to cover the tensed atmosphere with his obvious pretentious cough. What was he even thinking?

      "Don't even fantasize about it because it would never and I repeat never be yours" She smirked tauntingly but in a seductive way.

"Be rest assured that I would never have such thought towards love blinded b***h like you? Rather I have a proposal for you" Matrix suggested sourly.

     "What is it?" She asked with both irritation and interest playing on her Beautiful face. Her mind was clearly filled up with the highest man in that building that had no interest in her.

     "There's something that I observed while the meeting was going on and I want you to help me verify it while you're in there with him" Matrix suddenly said.

But his listener still couldn't determine what he was blabbing about which made her to become seriously confused.

     Seeing the baffled expression on the other's face, Matrix decided to clarify by explaining all his observations while the meeting was going on to the confused and inquisitive lady before him.

"He doesn't seem himself lately. He was away for more than a week without his whereabout known. I noticed him yawning lazily as if the meeting that has always been important to him was suddenly not important anymore. The questions that was directed at him was left unanswered and he had the guts to adjourn the meeting"

      "If he can do that, it shows that he's still the same man with arrogant attitude that doesn't allow anyone into his perfect world" Mira laughed proudly.

"That's not what I'm trying to say" Matrix said helplessly.

"Then what do you mean? Because as far as I'm concerned, my baby is the best in the whole kingdom with his rare arrogant and cold attitude" She smiled happily. Infact, the arrogant and cold attitude was what attracted her to him in the first place.

      Matrix was quite unhappy with this love blinded fool that couldn't see the clearer picture. "Will you just stop this your dramatic display of unrequited love and listen to me first?" He scolded a little angrily. Why he was angry, he couldn't just say.

     "I actually don't have to waste a second listening to your empty talks that made no freaking sense" She retorted as she was prepared to leave.

"Just hear me out, will you?" Matrix asked pleadingly. Surely talking to her was a little difficult and exhausting too; it was like talking to an unreasonable and loved clouded being.

     "I have been listening to you now for what seemed like forever and I can see that our conversation is headed nowhere so just let me go see my darling that's waiting for me"

"I want you to observe him closely and try to see if you will notice any changes within his attitude" Matrix instructed.

   N "Why? And what makes you think that I would want to share something so important with you of all people?" She looked at Matrix as though she was looking at a fool. Even the people walking in the lowest department in this very building that they were standing on knew his sore relationship with his cousin; they don't get along well and has always been on each other's throats. So why does he expect such a big deal from her?

       Matrix laughed before slowly walking to back of the lady. He rounded her several times in a slow and sensual pace before finally stopping at her back as he pulled her into his arms from the back and to his surprise, she didn't move away from him or shout at him like she normally does. Instead she became awfully quiet as if expecting more from him but Matrix knew that he has already gone far with his teasing. Come on sense told him to remain that way without going further even though he was tempted to at least try. She was a timing bomb that could blow at any time and he didn't want to take that risk as it may affect his future plans. She was only being quiet and calm because she could perceive that the next words from him was very important.

      "Just do as I said and make sure to report all your observations and findings to me while I do the rest. How do you think it'd feel if you hold onto his weak point? Don't you think that it would serve all that you've always wanted him to do to your sexy body on a platter of gold?" Matrix smirked in delight as he felt the body that was against his shiver slightly but she never said anything. It was obviously working in a fast pace; at this point, he expects nothing but a good result.
